Golf CentarMESTO GDE C�ETE POTVRDITI SVOJE VRLINE!

Golf Centar se nalazi u najpitomijem delu vojvođanske ravnice, naslonjen na desnuobalu panonske lepotice Tise. Smešten je neposredno uz magistralni put Novi Sad -Zrenjanin, u opštini Žabalj, i udaljen svega 90km od Beograda, 30km od NovogSada i 10km od Zrenjanina.

Planom detaljne regulacije predviđeno je proširenje golf terena sa novih 9 rupai izgradnja smeštajnih kapaciteta-apartmanskog naselja «Golf village» sa 30kuća i «Apart-hotela» sa 50 soba. Strateškim planom razvoja opštine Žabaljpredviđena je izgradnja marine i sportskog aerodrome.

Na ovaj način biće ispunjeni svi infrastrukturni preduslovi za međunarodnuafirmaciju Golf Centra uz jedinstveni kompleks na prvom golf terenu u Srbiji sa18 rupa.

Golf Centre is situated in the most peaceful part of Vojvodina plain, leaning against the rightshore of the Panon beauty, the river Tisa. It lies nearby the road Novi Sad – Zrenjanin,municipality of Žabalj and only 90 km from Belgrade, 30 km from Novi Sad and 10 km fromZrenjanin.

The Plan of detailed regulation envisages the expansion of a golf course with 9 new holesand construction of accommodation facilities- complex "Golf Village" with 30 houses and"Apart-hotel" with 50 rooms. According to the Strategic Development Plan of themunicipality Žabalj, they anticipated the construction of marina and sports airport.

This way, all infrastructural preconditions will bi fulfilled for the internationalrecognition of Golf Centar with a unique complex on the first golf course in Serbia with 18holes.

Istorija golfa

Golf, ili igra slična ovoj koju danas znamo pod tim imenom, igra se već vekovima,od starog Rima, preko srednjovekovne Francuske i Holandije, do današnjih dana.Međutim, pravim pionirima golfa smatraju se Škoti. Škoti su razvili ovu igru,odredili pribor za golf i izgled terena za igru, postavili standarde i temeljna pravilaigre i proširili je po čitavom svetu.

Kao prvi golf klub u istoriji najčešće se navodi The Honourable Company ofEdinburgh Golfers, osnovan 1744. godine Edinburgu, Škotska. Prvi put u istoriji,pravila golfa zabeležena su u pisanoj formi zahvaljujući ovom Klubu.

Tradiciju ustanovljavanja pravila i standarda nastavio je Royal & AncientSociety of St. Andrews Golfers. Zahvaljujući golferima St. Andrews-a postavljenje standard partije golfa na 18 rupa.

History of golf

Golf, or the game similar to the one known today, has been played for centuries, fromancient Rome, Middle Age France and the Netherlands until today. However, the realpioneers of golf are the Scots. They have developed this game, adapted golf equipmentand determined how golf court looks, set the standards, established detailed rules of thegame and expended it throughout the world.

The first golf club is considered to be The Honourable Company of Edinburgh Golfers,founded in 1744 in Edinburgh, Scotland. Thanks to this Club for the first time the ruleswere noted in writing. Royal & Ancient Society of St. Andrews has made the traditionin establishing the rules and setting the standards. The standards of 18 holesgame of golf were set thanks to St. Andrews golfers.

Golf u Srbiji

Prvi pokušaj da se u Srbiji izgradi golf teren zabeležen je krajem tridesetih godinaprošlog veka, kada je gospodin Stojadinović, tadašnji premijer Kraljevske vlade,potencirao izgradnju golf terena na Košutnjaku. Golf Klub Beograd otvoren jemaja 1936. godine pod pokroviteljstvom kneza Pavla. Početak Drugog svetskograta zaustavio je razvoj ovog projekta.

Gotovo sedam decenija prošlo je od ideje do početka izgradnje prvog golf terenau Srbiji - Golf Centra, gde je održan i memorijalni turnir kraljevićaTomislava Karađorđevića.

Danas pored Golf Centra imamo i golf teren Golf Kluba Beograd na Adi Ciganlijikoji nastavlja tradiciju I Golf Kluba Beograd iz 1936. godine i koji je danas podpokroviteljstvom NJ. K. V. Princeze Jelisavete Karađorđević. Najavljena jeizgradnja novih golf terena na različitim lokacijama što je veoma značajno zarazvoj golfa u Srbiji.

Golf in Serbia

The first attempt to build golf court in Serbia is recorded late 30’s of the previous century,when Mr. Stojadinović, Prime Minister of Royal government at that time, insisted on buildingthe golf court at Košutnjak. Golf Club Belgrade was opened in May 1936 under the patronageof Prince Pavle. The beginning of World War II stopped the development of this project.

Almost seven decades has passed from the idea to the construction of the first golf court –Golf Centre where the first Memorial tournament Prince Tomislav Karadjordjević washeld.

Today, beside the Golf Centre we also have a court of the Golf Club Belgrade on AdaCiganlija who continues the tradition of the first Golf Club Belgrade from 1936 and it isunder the patronage of her Royal Highness Princess Jelisaveta Karadjordjović. Theconstruction of more golf courts are in perspective on different locations which is sign� icant for development of golf in Serbia.

Golf Centar

Golf Centar se prostire na površini od 45 hektara. U okviru ovog kompleksanalazi se izgrađen golf teren sa 9 polja, dužine 2701 m (5402m) i par 36 (72),Driving Range sa uređenim i opremljenim trenažnim boksovima, PuttingGreen, Chipping Green, Pitching Green i Club House sa recepcijom, klupskimsalonom i kongresnom salom. Restoran sa kuhinjom za prave hedoniste,raspolaže sa terasom smeštenom u srcu Golf Centra.

Teren je urađen po svetskim standardima, počev od dizajna, sistemaza navodnjavanje “Hunter”, travnatih smesa, pa sve do prirodnih i veštačkihgolf prepreka. Teren je izuzetno interesantan i iziskuje maksimalnukoncentraciju i preciznost. Svako ko na ovom terenu napravi svoje prve korakeu golfu, moći će da se takmiči na bilo kom terenu na svetu.

Golf Center

The Golf Centre spreads across 45 ha. Within this complex, there is a golf course with 9 fields2701m(5402), par 36 (72), Driving Range with fully arranged and equipped practice boxes,Putting green, Chipping green, Pitching green and a Club House with front desk and Clublounge. There is a restaurant for real hedonist and its terrace located right at the heart of theGolf Centre.

The Club’s golf course complies with the strictest world standards, including the design,irrigation system (Hunter), and special grass seed mix, all the way up to the natural andart � icial golf obstacles! It is highly dynamic and interesting, requiring maximumconcentration and accuracy. Everyone who makes the first steps on this golf course willbe able to compete at any course in the world.

Golf kao igra

Golf je jedinstvena igra, koju od ostalih sličnih igara sa lopticom i palicomizdvajaju tri osnovna elementa:• Igra se odvija u prirodi, na prostoru neuobičajeno velikom za sportove (od 30do 70 hektara). Strogo određena veličina i oblik terena ne postoji, tako da nasvetu ne postoje dva potpuno ista golf terena.• Cilj igre je dovesti lopticu u rupu (kojih ima 9 ili 18) sa što manje udaraca.• Igrač nema nikakvog uticaja na protivnikovu igru, već utiče samo na svojsopstveni rezultat.

Kako jedan zaljubljenik u ovu plemenitu igru kaže: „Golf umnogome liči naživot, jer je najvažnija vrsta takmičenja ona sa samim sobom”.

Golf as a game

Golf is a unique game which differentiates it from other similar games with club and ball bythree basic elements:• It is played out in nature at a place unusually large for sports (30 – 70 ha). Strictlydetermined size and shape of the court does not exist so there are no two completely samegolf courts.• The aim of the game is to bring the ball into the hole (there are 9 or 18 holes) withminimal number of strokes as possible.• The player has no i � luence on his opponent’s game, but one can i � luence only oneself ’s score.

Golf Akademija

U saradnji sa Golf Asocijacijom Srbije, Golf klub Centar organizuje obuku, odnosno”Golf Akademiju”, koju vode eminentni stučnjaci iz zemlje i inostranstva. GolfAkademija se održava u prijatnom ambijentu i namenjena je svima koji žele da sebave golfom, od početnika do onih koji već imaju predznanja o golfu.

Na akademiji se uče osnovne tehnike igre, golf pravila i etika, odnosno sve što jeneophodno za dobijenje ”zelene karte” koja omogućava igru na bilo komsvetskom golf terenu.

Golf Academy

In cooperation with Golf Association of Serbia, Golf Club Centre organises training for thebeginners called Golf Academy ran by eminent experts from country and abroad. Thetraining is carried on in a pleasant ambient and is intended for anyone who wants to playgolf, from the beginners to the ones who already have some knowledge on golf.

Basic techniques of the game, golf rules and ethics are practiced at the Academy,everything that is necessary for getting a "green card" which enables you to play golf onany golf court in the world.
