The orangery at Goldney Hall is a hidden gem within Bristol’s famous Clifton Village and offers the perfect fairy-tale backdrop for your big day. The orangery sits within beautiful walled gardens which are exclusively yours for the day of your wedding.

To keep the venues exclusivity the University only offers a limited number of weddings so you know that your day will truly be one of a kind.

The Mahogany Parlour within Goldney House is fully licensed to offer an intimate civil ceremony option for 40. The panelled walls and candelabra lighting provide a perfect surrounding for you and your guests as you say ‘I do’. your civil ceremony can be followed by a drinks reception on the lawn with stunning photographs against many of the gardens unique highlights. These include a shell studded grotto, a rotunda and an ornamental canal.

With full length french doors which lead directly out to the gardens your wedding can flow effortlessly throughout this elegant space.

The dressing room is available and is perfect for you and your bridal party or guests to freshen up throughout the day.

Civil Ceremonies Wedding Celebrations

We work in partnership with Fosters events, who have over 50 years of experience in producing outstanding food with the highest level of service.

Fosters events will be with you every step of the way; from discussing your initial ideas with the team who will help you design your perfect menu, to on the day coordination by your dedicated events manager.

Tastings can be provided by Fosters to sample menu options in a relaxed atmosphere at their Bristol based tasting suite.

Grotto Toursoffer your guests something truly unique with an historic grotto tour during your drinks reception. It’s the perfect way to entertain your guests whilst photographs are taking place.

once through a secret doorway, a member of staff will guide your guests through the history of this unique structure. Grotto tours are charged at £179.00 per hour.
