How to Upload Your Database into Send

1. Get your database exported

You need to make sure your current database is exported into an EXCEL .CSV spreadsheet.

If you already keep your contacts in Excel.

Simply hit “file” Save As and choose:

CSV (comma delimited)

Save a copy- place somewhere you can easily find it

Important: Your CSV file Must have headers and separate fields for each value

Good Ideas:

Only do a few contacts at a time if you have a large database (start with 10-15 until you get the hang of it.

Decide your “GROUPS” first:Go to “Manage Groups”

“Add New Group” Name your group something meaningful: ex: “5 Years from Retirement” “New Clients” “Hot Prospects”, “A-Clients” “Family and Friends”

Hit the “add New Group Key”

Once you’ve got some groups… If you are adding the people in your list to a

group. You can put them in the group all at once by adding a column to your spreadsheet.

Important: The Group Name MUST be exactly the same as the one you created in Send Out Cards

#2 Convert the .CSV file to a .TXT file

Open the CSV spreadsheet.

Save as Text (tab delimited)

Be sure the file to upload is a .txt
