Congratulations to seniors Julia Giangrande and Sabrina Culpepper for earning top awards in the Boston Globe Scholastic Art Awards Competition. The Scholastic Art and Writing Awards is the nation’s longest-running recognition program for creative teens in grades 7–12. Students’ artwork is judged on personal voice, technical skill and originality. Julia submitted a variety of art inlcuding individual metal jewelry, acrylic paintings, a portfolio of 8 pieces of jewelry and pencil drawing. Sabrina submitted digital photography and paintings. Other students who represented GMHS were Robert Beals( animation), Olivia Fair (ceramics & drawing), Cera Bettencourt (b&w photography), Alivia Olsen (ceramics &Olivia Fair (ceramics & drawing), Cera Bettencourt (b&w photography), Alivia Olsen (ceramics & painting), Martin Culpepper (digital photography), and Beth Keenan (digital photography).
