Annual Report (2018-19)
The following is the Brief Report all curricular and Co-Curricular activities,
which were organized between 02-July-2018 to 30-Mar-2019.
The college re-opened on 02 July 2018 for the academic year 2018-19. The
college activities started from the very 1st day.
1. Teaching Skill Workshop was organised in the college hall from 4th July, 2018
to 7th July, 2018.Guidanace was given regarding lessons and how to deal
with the students.
2. Internship in respective schools started on 9th July, 2018.
3. Election for council members was conducted on 14th July, 2018.
4. Felicitation of the student council was organised in the college hall on 21st
July, 2018
5. Guru Pournima was celebrated in the college on 28th July, 2018
6. Tree Plantation was done by S.Y.B.Ed students and all the college staff
members at Karjat on 4th August, 2018
7. On 15th August, 2018 Independence day was celebrated in respective
internship schools.
8. Eid , Rakshabandhan , and Onam was celebrated on 25th August,2018 in
GESCER lecture hall
9. Teacher’s Day celebration was done on 8th September, 2018 in GESCER
lecture hall
10. Gandhi Jayanti was celebrated on 2nd October,2018 in respective internship
schools by all student teachers wherein various activities like poster making,
swachhata abhiyaan were conducted.
11. Internship for third semester ended on 13th October, 2018
12. Meeting of College development committee was held in Society office on
20th October,2018.
13. Navratri Celebration was done on 20th October,2018 in GESCER lecture hall.
14. Orientation of F.Y.B.ED was conducted on 22nd October,2018 in GESCER
lecture hall. All the students introduced themselves.
15. Women Development Cell organised a program wherein all the students
presented and discussed about the activities arranged in internship schools.
Themes were dowry system, education for girls, child marriage etc.
16. An educational visit to Global Vipassana Pagoda, Boriwali was organised on
27th October, 2018. Students were accompanied by all the professors.
17. A visit to Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education, Mankhurd was
organised on 30th October,2018. Students were accompanied by Prof. Neela
Kamat , Prof. Sangeeta Patkar and Prof. Prashant Kale
18. Diwali Celebration was done on 31st October,2018 in GESCER lecture hall.
19. Children’s Day was celebrated on 14th November, 2018 in GESCER lecture
hall.
20. Seminar on Stress Management was organised by the ex-dean of KEM
Hospital , Dr. Shubhangi Parkar on 29th November,2018
21. Also an on the spot Slogan Competition was organised. The winners were-
1st Prize Tejaswi Chavan, 2nd Prize Sharayu Kadam, 3rd Prize Ishita Gala.
22. Community work of F.Y.B.ED started on 1st December,2018 to 7th
December,2018 at Our Lady’s Home, Dadar.
23. S.Y.B.ED students participated in the intercollegiate skit competition at Dr.
Babasaheb Ambedkar College on 14th December, 2018 and won the first
prize. The participants were- Dhanashree Bhute, Priyanka Rai, Kinjal
Chandaria, Ankita Chandra, Prajakta Chiplunkar, Snehal Wagh and Abhijeet
Vedpathak.
24. Co- curricular activity of F.Y.B.ED was conducted on 15th December,2018 in
GESCER lecture hall
25. Communtiy work of S.Y.B.ED started on 17th December,2018 which ended
on 22nd December, 2018 at R.M.Bhatt High School.
26. Fresher’s Party and Christmas Celebration was done on 22nd December
2018 by the students of S.Y.B.ED and F.Y.B.ED at GESCER
27. Students of S.Y.B.ED participated and volunteered in HOSH WALK for
Cancer Patients at Shivaji Park on 23rd December, 2018. The students were –
Sujata Shekhar, Akshata Mayekar, Vandana Chaurasia, Harshali Patil,
Madhu Shukla, Joanitha Mendes, Ragini Gadade, Juhi Samel, Tasneem
Sayyed, Urmila Prajapati and Sharayu Kadam.
28. Annapoorna Yojana started on 4th January, 2019.
29. Visit to Virtual Classroom, Dadar was oragnised for F.Y.B.ED students on 5th
January, 2019.
30. Trip to Durshet Forest Lodge, Karjat was organised on 21st and 22nd
January,2019 for the students of S.Y.B.ED. Many activities like zip lining,
Burma bridge, jungle cooking , archery were enjoyed by the students as well
as the professors.
31. Internship of S.Y.B.ED students for Fourth semester started on 23rd
January,2019.
32. Republic Day was celebrated by S.Y.B.ED students in their respective
internship schools.
33. Students of S.Y.B.ED participated in the intercollegiate dance competition
at Bombay Teacher’s Training College on 5th February,2019. The participants
were – Akshata Mayekar and Sharayu Kadam.
34. Sports Day started on 5th February,2019 and ended on 8th February,2019.
35. Indoor sports were conducted from 5th to 8th February. The sports played
were- Needle and thread, Ball in the bucket, Potato race, Carrom, Chess,
Table tennis.
36. Indoor sports were conducted on 8th February. The sports played were
Cricket, Shot put, Dodge ball and 100 m race. Students of B.P.ED came to
manage the outdoor sports.They helped, judged and assisted all the
students.
37. Internship of F.Y.B.ED students for second semester started on 11th
February,2019.
38. Exhibition of Indian army was organised at R.M.Bhatt High School, Kamgar
Maidan on 16th February,2019. The theme was ‘MERA DESH MERI
PEHCHAAN’. Arms and weapons were displayed. They also gave a demo of
the drill.
39. A talk by the chairman of GES, Dr. S.B.Pandit was conducted on the topic of
how Gokhale Education Society was formed for all the students on 20th
February,2019.
40. Meeting of College development committee was held in Society office on
20th February,2018.
41. Students of S.Y.B.ED participated in the intercollegiate competition on 23rd
February,2019 at Thakur College, Kandivali and also won various prizes.
Participants were – Dhanashree Bhute, Akshata Mayekar, Ragini Gadade,
Abhijeet Vedpathak, Sujata Kanojia, Urmila Prajapati and Sharayu Kadam.
42. Convocation ceremony was organised for the passed out students of the
year 2016-2018 on 23rd February,2019.
43. A visit was conducted for F.Y.B.ED students at Nehru Science Centre, Worli
on 25th February,2019
44. A visit was conducted for S.Y.B.ED students at Nehru Science Centre, Worli
on 26th February,2019
45. A visit was conducted for F.Y.B.ED And S.Y.B.ED at Homi Bhabha Centre for
Science Education, Mankhurd on 26th February,2019. The students
participated were- Priyanka Rai, Kinjal Chandaria, Ankita Chandra, Sudipta
Mandal, Madhu Shukla and Sujata Shekhar of S.Y.B.ED.
Kishoree Londhe, Dixita Siroya and Swapnil Ambekar of F.Y.B.ED.
46. Science Day was celebrated at Homi bhabha centre for science education
on 28th February,2019. Priyanka Rai, Kinjal Chandaria and Ankita Chandra
participated in the competition. Sujata Shekhar, Sudipta Mandal, Madhu
Shukla, Kishoree Londhe,Dixita Siroya, Swapnil Ambekar volunteered for the
same.
47. S.Y.B.ED students participated in intercollegiate competition at R.D.
National College, Bandra on 28th February,2019. The participants were-
Akshata Mayekar, Abhijeet Vedpathak and Sharayu Kadam.
48. Dr. Narendra Patil was appointed as the Principal of GESCER and was
felicitated on 2nd March, 2019.
49. Marathi Bhasha Divas was celebrated on 2nd March, 2019 at GESCER leture
hall.
50. Internship for S.Y.B.ED and F.Y.B.ED ended on 8th March, 2019.
51. The students organised a thanks giving program in their respective
internship schools.
52. Holi was celebrated by all the students and professors on 20th March in the
college.
53. A workshop on making an impressive CV for S.Y.B.ED students was
conducted by Shailesh Khadtare on 23rd March, 2019 at GESCER.
54. Annapoorna Yojana ended on 23rd March, 2019.
55. All students prepared and displayed their teaching aids on 20th March

More about Extension work activities
▪ Extension Work Orientation was conducted in English room for second year
B.Ed students by Prof. S. B. Bodke for SWS, APY, NIOS.
▪ On 4th January, 2019 NIOS seminar, Annapurna Yojana was conducted in GES
Hall, and seminar was conducted by Prof. Bodke and students-teachers
Annapurna Yojana started and stall were put up by Juhi, Sharayu and Urmila.
▪ Bodke Sir conducted orientation of Extension Work for all F.Y.B.Ed student
teachers. During this orientation sir explained in details about Survey of
Women Status (SWS), Career Professionals (CP), Population Education Club
(PEC).
