The Paleo diet relies on low glycemic foods, which are low incarbohydrates and sugar. The standard American diet is the completeopposite and is high in both. This is a large factor in the Americanobesity epidemic.
Carbohydrates are often consumed in the form of sugar, refined flours,grains, pseudo-grains (millet, buckwheat, and quinoa), legumes and dairy.The constant consumption of these carbohydrates leaves the body on asugar roller coaster. If you are ready to get off of the sugar roller coaster,then it’s time to toss out the high glycemic foods.

Phytic acid is a compound that comes from
the phosphorous found in plants.
Too much phytic acid can inhibit the
thyroid, hamper digestion, and leach vital
minerals from the body, such as zinc and
iron.
Phytic acid also interferes with the natural
enzymes your body needs to digest your
food. Some people who have autoimmune,
thyroid, metabolism, and chronic candida or
weight issues see improvement when they
