In my literacy learning...One thing I have improved at in my reading is: predicting and making connections to the stories.

One goal I have for reading is: comprehension - inferring and questioning as I read

One thing I have improved at in my writing is: using paragraphs with one main idea

One goal I have for writing is: use precise and logical details to support my ideas.

I am especially proud of... my Thunderstorm Description.


MathematicsMY PROGRESS IN MATHEMATICS IS EVIDENT IN...

I am especially proud of... moving to a higher stage in my

maths.

My numeracy stage is: late 6

In my numeracy learning...In numeracy, I have been working on: converting fractions to decimals, finding equivalent fractions and finding fractions of fractions.

One thing I have improved at in my numeracy is: decimals - understanding the place values.

One goal I have for numeracy is: division with larger numbers.


InquiryMY PROGRESS IN INQUIRY IS EVIDENT IN...

I am especially proud of... Making the solar oven.

In my inquiry learning...I have been working on: Asia Down Under - learning about Asian lifestyles and diversity. I’ve Got the Power - Solar Power - making a solar oven.

One thing I have improved at in Inquiry is: Researching - skimming for information.

One goal I have for inquiry is: find out how solar powered garden lights work.


As a WK Kid Learner...One thing I think I have improved at as a Whakarongo Kid is:

Being a navigator - setting goals and sticking to them (like in writing).

One goal I have for being a better Whakarongo Kid is:

Being a collaborator - listening to other people’s ideas and not talking over them.

I am especially proud of... Being better at being honest at school - I don’t lie as

much!
