Who we are

Go Play! is a not-for-profit organization that trains

people to design and build playspaces as a holisticmeans of improving education, health and the well-

being of children in the developing world.

Go Play! evolved to address the importance of play

in education. Play is a genuine expression of achild·s interactions with the world and acts as a

response to master how the world works. Classroom

learning is important, but play is learning put into

practice.

Started in 2007, in Mae Sot, Thailand

along the Burmese border

Designed and built over 50 playgrounds in Southeast Asia

Benefiting over 7000 students, for

mostly the children of Burmese

refugees

Working with NGOs to build 30

playgrounds in Cambodia & Laos and

17 in Peru

Our operational model will focus on knowledge transfer.

Instead of building playgrounds ourselves, we focus on training

people how to organize and build playgrounds.

This strategy creates a multiplier effect that exponentially

increases the playgrounds that are built.
