Cut two pieces of the solid colorcanvas to 16 1/2" x 16 1/2".

Mark the center of the square.

A template is a printout of adesign, and it's an excellent toolto plan where to stitch.

Print a template of the designsfrom your embroidery software. If you do not have embroiderysoftware, Wilcom's TrueSizer is a free program to use.

Trim around the templates tomake them more manageable.

Arrange them on the fabric untilthey are where you want to stitchthem.

In this example, three designswill be used. The centers arelined up with the center of thefabric, and there is equal spacebetween the designs.

Mark the center points of eachdesign, as well as the verticaland horizontal axis lines.

Remove the templates and drawlines connecting the horizontaland vertical axis points. Theselines will be used for hooping.
