Play GO Big BinGO!

Objective: Integrate and evaluate information presented in diverse media and formats, including visually, quantitatively, and orally.

Materials: • Dream Big, the book• Love Big, the book• Think Big, the book• GO Big BinGO game (pg, 3)• GO Big BinGO cards (pgs, 4-5)• Computer paper• Cardstock• Scissors• Art paper• Markers

Procedure: • Print a copy of the GO Big BinGO game on computer paper – one per child. • Print the GO Big BinGO cards on cardstock. • Trim around the borders of the GO Big BinGO cards with scissors. • To play the game, stack of the GO Big BinGO cards face down on the table.• Choose the card off the top of the stack. Discover a square that associates with the

phrase printed on the GO Big BinGO card. Mark off the match with a marker.• (Note that there are a few squares on the board that do not require a matching card.

Encourage students to follow the directions stated in those squares. Mark off the square once complete.)

• Winners of the game can either mark of spaces in diagonal, horizontal, and vertical patterns or completely black out all of the spaces on the GO Big BinGO board.
