    01

We offer a competitive range of industry-focused courses, and we have an admissions team that is dedicated to dealing with international applicants.

We have large ambitions for our students and for the college but we are small enough for members of staff to know their students, and for students to feel secure and supported.

We offer flexibility, providing courses in a range of structures to cater for the differing needs of individual students.

There is a robustness to the programmes we offer, too. Our

affiliation to Plymouth University means that students receive a qualification awarded by one of the UKs top 10 modern universities* one with a long history and a reputation for excellence. Our close links with the university allow us to incorporate new thinking and leading-edge concepts, building on their research interests and those of our own academics.

Employers in the 21st century need and want graduates with an understanding of global matters, the skills that will allow them to maintain their competitive edge and an

    GSM London02

entrepreneurial attitude. We aim to develop these attributes in all our programmes, offering courses in the dynamic and innovative worlds of business and management, accounting and finance, economics, information technology, and law.

The decision to do a degree involves investing both time and money in your future but the return you can expect is a brighter future and better prospects. Choosing to study at GSM London will have a hugely positive impact on your future. It will prepare you for a lifetime of rewarding and

exciting work, while giving you the relevant skills to make you stand out in an increasingly competitive business environment. I really believe that it is a decision that neither you, nor your future employers, will ever regret.

What really strikes you is the atmosphere: friendly, helpful, like a big family looking out for you

What present and past students say

I chose GSM London for its connection with Plymouth University: one of the tutors at my school had been to Plymouth and spoke highly about it. Also the course I wanted to do was a two-year course. Studying is fine, but theres a big difference between books and real life, and I wanted to get out there quickly but with a good degree. And the College had an excellent reputation: everyone I spoke to about it had good things to

    gsm.org.uk +44 (0)20 8516 7800

Teaching is great with personalised learning, relating what we study to real working environments

    say. It helped that they

    had a good relationship with

the UK Border Agency, so they

could sort my visa out easily.

The administrative staff are really friendly

and professional and deal with any matter you

have immediately. And the lecturers have to be the

greatest thing of all: they always relate what youre reading or studying to what happens in real life. That way youre clear about how real working environments are different from the theory. They always have time to talk, too theyre approachable, helpful, challenging, inspiring and they manage to personalise your learning, too. The staff are a huge benefit for the College.

Mohammad Kanumara Sianturi, Indonesia, current student BSc (Hons) Business Management

I came here from Novosibirsk in Siberia, Russia. I had offers from five universities in London but decided to go for GSM London.

The thing that really strikes you about GSM London is the general atmosphere. It is immediately friendly, helpful: it feels like a big family. Its not just the students though theyre great, of course! Its everyone who works at the College: from the person who first meets you at reception, to all the administrative staff and all the lecturers. I never thought there was a problem they couldnt help me with, and they usually found the solution immediately.

Ive had two jobs since GSM London, both of them in multinational companies, working as a financial associate. I know I wouldnt have got either without my

time at the GSM London. And, trust me, I know that its different. Ive been at other schools and colleges before and since, and none of them feels anything like the GSM London its like a family looking out for you and making sure you get what youre after.

  • Why study in London? Both our campuses are close to everything that makes London such a magnet for visitors: its culture, creativity, entertainment and, of course, its commerce and business. Many of our academic staff have had business careers in London. This means that our teaching is strongly focused on building your employability and contributing to your career.

London is one of the liveliest cultural centres in the world. It has more film, music, comedy, theatre, art and museums on offer than almost anywhere else in Europe. This is the aspect of London life that draws most tourists to London.

And London is the European capital as far as higher education is concerned. There are well over 40 accredited and recognised universities and colleges in London*, which means that it has a far higher concentration of students than anywhere else in the UK, or in Europe. No surprise, then, that student life in London is so exciting!

Waterside views from the historic Royal Borough of Greenwich

Westfield, the biggest shopping centre in west London, is only 16 mins by tube

Both campuses are within easy reach of central London

London is home to over 100,000 international students from over 200 different nations. More international students study in London than in any other city in the world.
