m Working on:

Scoring the patients a PT in a hospital setting does is very difficult because there is no reccord of the treatment. It is a multidisciplinair number record kept by the hospital, including : medical specialist and a PT or a psychologist or an occupational therapist.

Axxon is working on a plan to give a score to the PT's working in the shown settings according to their daily working hours.

8 hours of work in a hospital = 16 times a M24

So in the future this PT can treat an additional 4 patients outside the hospital instead of 20 patients after a 8 hours working day.

m Situation:

In Belgium a PT is not yet required to follow courses or keep on track with further going education.

2 years ago Axxon, the government and stakeholders created “ProQKine”. We put up standards (peer reviews, courses, questionnaires, ...) to which a private practice that whishes to keep being able to provide quality in care must live up to.

m Situation:

The government gave Axxon money to set up and implement this system.

After two years the government is seeing how well this works and how eager PT's are in living up to the necessary quality standards. Because the whole system is based on selfreflection, taking matters into your own hands, most PT's are not discontent with the set-up.

Downside: Not yet required / No (financial) incentive for the PT that lives up to the standards.
