Eliminar el inhibidor de óxidoFor ease of removal, first use a plastic scraper to remove most of the rust inhibitor and then use WD-40 or anotherPH neutral degreaser to spray all the way covers and other non-painted surfaces that have been coated with rustinhibitor. Let it soak for a few minutes before removing it. Then use shop towels to remove it. For thick applications ofrust inhibitor use a plastic scraper to remove it.

Important: Do not use scotch-brite or metal scrapers, these will scratch the way covers. Furthermore, to avoid anycontamination of the way cover seals with the sticky residue. Do not move any of the axes until all the rust inhibitorhas been removed.

HOWEVER, IF THIS NOT THE CASE OR ARE NOT SURE HOW TO DO THIS, CHECKWITH APPROPIATE PERSONNEL OR OBTAIN THE NECESSARY HELP BEFORE CONTINUING. 1Initial Control Inspection

Danger: At this point, there should be no electricalconnection to the machine. Electrical panel must beclosed and secured. When main switch is on, there isHIGH VOLTAGE throughout the electrical panel (includingthe circuit boards and logic circuits) and somecomponents operate at high temperatures. Therefore,exercise extreme caution when working in the panel.

• Set the main breaker switch at the upper right ofthe electrical panel on the back of the machine toOFF.

• Using a screwdriver, unlock the two latches onthe panel door, unlock the cabinet with the keyand open the door.

• Take sufficient time to check all the componentsand connectors associated with the circuitboards. Look for any cables that have becomedisconnected, look for any signs damage andloose parts in the bottom of the panel box. Ifthere are any signs that the machine wasmishandled, call the factory before proceeding.

21-Phase Machines: Insert each power leadinto the wire cover. Connect the two powerleads to L1 and L3 terminals on top of themain circuit breaker.

3-Phase Machines: Insert each power leadinto the wire cover. Connect the threepower leads to L1, L2 and L3 terminals ontop of the main circuit breaker.

Connect the separate ground line to theground bus to the left of the terminals.

Note: Make sure that the leads actuallygo into the terminal-block clamps . (A poorconnection will cause the machine to runintermittently or have other problems, suchas servo overloads.) To check, simply pull onthe wires after the screws are tightened.

3After the line voltage is connected to themachine, make sure that main circuitbreaker (at top-right of rear cabinet) is OFF .Remove the Lockout / Tagout and Turn ONthe power at the source. Using a digitalvoltmeter and appropriate safetyprocedures:

1-Phase Machines: Measure the AC voltageacross L1 & L3 at the main circuit breaker.The AC voltage must be between 220 - 250volts . Note: Lower or higher than this voltagecan generate low/high voltage alarms.

3-Phase Machines: Measure the AC voltagebetween all three pair phases at the maincircuit breaker. The AC voltage must bebetween 195 and 260 volts (360 and 480volts for high voltage option).

Note: Wide voltage fluctuations arecommon in many industrial areas; minimumand maximum voltage supplied to amachine while it is in operation must beknown. U.S. National Electrical Codespecifies that machines should operate witha variation of +5% to -5% around an averagesupply voltage. If problems with line voltageoccur, or low line voltage is suspected, anexternal transformer may be used. If yoususpect voltage problems, voltage should bechecked every hour or two during a typicalday to be sure it does not fluctuate morethan +5% or -5% from an average.

4 Important: With the main circuit breakerturned OFF.

Check the transformer taps at the bottom-right corner of the rear cabinet.

1-Phase Machines: The input voltage cablemust be moved to the connectorwhich corresponds to the average voltagemeasured in the above step.

3-Phase Machines: The input voltage cableslabeled 74, 75, and 76 must be moved to theterminal block triple which corresponds tothe average voltage measured in the abovestep.

5Transformer T5 supplies 24VAC used topower the main contactor. There are twoversions of this transformer for use on a240 and 400V machines. The 240Vtransformer has two input connectorslocated about two inches from thetransformer, which allow it to be connectedto either 180-220V or 221-240V. Users thathave 220V-240V RMS input power shoulduse the connector labeled 221-240V, whileusers with 190-220V input power should usethe connector labeled 180-220V. Failure touse the correct input connector will result ineither overheating of the main contactor orfailure to reliably engage the maincontactor.

The 480V (option) T5 transformer has threeinput connectors, labeled 340-380V,381-440V and 441-480V. Users with340-380V 50Hz power should use the340-380V connector while users with380V-440V 50Hz power should use the381-440V connector.

Important: Set the main circuit breaker toON. Check for evidence of problems, suchas the smell of overheating components orsmoke. If such problems are indicated,immediately set the main circuit breaker toOFF and call the factory before proceeding.

After the power is on, measure the voltageacross the bottom terminals on the maincircuit breaker. It should be the same as themeasurements where the input powerconnects to the main breaker. If there areany problems, check the wiring.

6Apply power to the control by pressing thePower-On switch on the front panel.

Check the DC Voltage and AC Line Voltagegauges in Diagnostics. The DC Voltage gaugemust read between 310 - 360V. The AC LineVoltage must be between 90 and 105percent. If the voltage is outside these limits,turn off the power and recheck steps 2 and3. If the voltage is still outside these limits,call the factory.

Electrical power must be phased properly to avoid damage to your equipment. The Power SupplyAssembly PC board incorporates a "Phase Detect" circuit with neon indicators. When the orange neon is lit(NE5), the phasing is incorrect. If the green neon is lit (NE6), the phasing is correct. If both neon indicatorsare lit, you have a loose wire; check the connections. Adjust phasing by setting the source power to off andthen swapping L1 and L2 of the incoming power lines at the main circuit breaker.

Danger: ALL POWER TO CNC MUST BE TURNED OFF LOCKOUT-TAGOUT AT THE SOURCE PRIOR TOADJUSTING PHASING. ALWAYS DOUBLE CHECK THE INCOMING LINES WITH AN AC VOLTAGE DETECTOR.

Turn off the power and set the main circuit breaker to OFF. Close the door, lock the latches, and turn thepower back on.

Remove the key from the control cabinet and give it to the shop manager.

8Activation

When the machine is properly placed and connected to both air and electrical power, it is ready for finalinstallation (removing shipping blocks, leveling, spindle sweep, etc.) and software activation. The HFOservice technician does this. Contact the local HFO to schedule the work.

Retirar las abrazaderas de envío

1Retire tres pernos [1] que fijan el cuerpo del eje B[2] al soporte de envío del cabezal del husillo [3].

Retire cuatro pernos [4] que fijan el soporte deenvío del cabezal del husillo a la mesa y retire elsoporte de envío de la máquina.

Instale los enchufes [5] en el soporte de envío deorificios de montaje en el cuerpo del eje B.

2Para desbloquear el eje Y:

• Retire los pernos de envío del eje Y [1]que fijan la subplaca del eje Z [2] alpuente.

Para desbloquear el eje X:

• Retire dos pernos [3] que fijan elsoporte de envío del eje X [5] a lacolumna de pórtico.

• Retire dos pernos [4] que fijan elsoporte de envío del eje X [5] a la mesa.Retire las abrazaderas de envío.

• Vuelva a instalar los pernos de la mesa[4].

• Realice los mismos pasos para quitar elsoporte de envío [6] en el otro lado delpórtico.

Instale los paneles de la carcasa

1Instale el marco de la carcasa sobre el cambiadorde herramientas y fíjelo al puente con cuatropernos y arandelas 1/2-13.

Consulte el ESPECIFICACIONES DE PAR DESUJETADOR DE HAAS para el valor de parcorrecto

Nota: El peso de la pieza soldada del marco esde aproximadamente 160 libras. Utilice lacarretilla elevadora u otro dispositivo deelevación para levantar el bastidor.

2Instale los tubos del bastidor de la carcasadelantera [1] como se muestra en la imagen.

6Instale el nuevo Splash Guard

Instale los conductos de barrena de virutas [2].Consulte el CHIP AUGER - INSTALACIÓN pasos 4y 5 .

Instale el brazo colgante del cable [3].

Pase el arnés colgante [4] a través del brazo yconecte el retenedor del arnés [5].

Instale la cubierta colgante del brazo.

7Pase los cables colgantes [1] en el colgante [2] einstale el retenedor del arnés de cable.

Conecte los cables a la PCB SKBIF. Consulte VMC -COLGANTE - INSTALACIÓN paso 2 para lasconexiones.

Instale la cubierta posterior [3].

Adjunte el colgante al soporte colgante [4].

Instalar los enchufes de la cúpula [5]

Instalar sensores de seguridad

Conecte el suministro de aire.

1Instale los sensores de seguridad en cadaesquina de la carcasa móvil.

• [1] El sensor de seguridad traseroizquierdo es 34" Largo.

• [2] El sensor delantero izquierdo es 52"Largo.

• [3] El sensor frontal derecho es 20"largo con cable de 27 pies.

• [4] El sensor derecho trasero es 20"largo con el cable de 15 pies.

2Dirija los cables del sensor de seguridad.

• El cable 33-0606 [1] se enruta a travésde la columna lateral izquierda de lafábrica. Conecte el 33-0606 a la partetrasera izquierda sensor de seguridad.

• Pase el cable 33-0626 [2] desde la partetrasera izquierda hasta el sensor deseguridad delantero izquierdo.

• Pase el cable 33-0624 [3] desde la partedelantera izquierda hasta los sensoresde seguridad delanteros derecho.

• Pase el cable 33-0623 [4] desde la partedelantera derecha hasta el sensor deseguridad trasero derecho.

1Conecte la manguera de aire a la conexión deaire [7].

Verifique que el manómetro de liberación de laherramienta [2] lea 140 - 160 psi. Ajuste la perillaen la parte posterior del dobler de aire [3] si esnecesario.

El medidor de purga de aire del husillo [4] debeleer 45 psi cada vez que el husillo esté enfuncionamiento. Ajuste la perilla del regulador deaire [5] si es necesario.

Llenar el enfriador de husillo

Nivelado

1. Ajuste los tornillos de nivelación para elevar la máquina 3" desde el suelo.2. Coloque un nivel en el centro de la tabla paralelo al eje X. Ajuste los tornillos de nivelación para nivelar la

mesa.3. Coloque el nivel paralelo al eje Y [1] en la mesa y observe la burbuja. Ajuste los tornillos de nivelación para

nivelar la mesa.4. Lugar un bloque de granito en la parte superior del puente.5. Lugar el nivel de burbuja en el bloque de granito paralelo al eje Y.6. Corre el puente a través de todo el viaje. Verifique que las lecturas estén dentro del límite de 0.0002"

durante todo el viaje.7. Ajuste los pies de nivelación según sea necesario. Vuelva a comprobar el nivel de burbuja.

1Retire la tapa de llenado del enfriador del husillo[1] y agregue 4 galones de una mezcla de agua/glicol destilada 50/50 (anticongelanteautomotriz).
