Glow Worm Tunnel Info Pack

Hi Everyone, Welcome to the Inaugural Glow Worm Tunnel Trail Marathon! is event is a benchmark of Mountain Sports’ philosophy- we believe that a magnificent setting is the key component, and in an area which, hopefully, has never had a race before and is relatively unknown till now. As you will see on race day, the Wolgan Valley is one of the most scenic locations in all of the Blue Mountains, and is steeped in history as well. Much of this race takes place in what was once a thriving industrial town which has now been swallowed by the bush aſter 70 years of abandonment. ere is too much natural and human heritage out here for just a morning’s running, so we hope you’ll spend the weekend out at Newnes and fully absorb the area’s attractions. If you prefer a roof over your head, accommodation advice is available from Lithgow Tourism via www.tourism.lithgow.com and from the Lithgow area the race is about 40 minutes’ drive. In this newsletter you will find advice on the event schedule, catering and other important news. Early next week we’ll send another communication with event safety information. In the meantime there is a medical survey to be completed by Tuesday 29th May. See below for more details on the medical survey. We believe all the answers you need are within these pages or on the website - check each of these before calling if you need any further info, otherwise we are happy to answer questions for you via email. ank you again for entering - we’ll see you in a week and a half!
