issue in March this year! I would firstly like to

introduce myself, Russell Field, as the new Head

of Global Real Estate & Construction, as of 1

I’m really looking forward to working with you

all and continuing Solly’s good work of the past

several years.

In September 2016, I met with representatives

from 12 member firms and the Global Office in

New York, USA, to discuss the strategy and

direction of our group. Following a very

successful conference, I’m delighted to be able

to share the outcomes and actions with you. You

2016, we identified the need to create a

constant stream of topics and industry trends

that you can talk to your clients about. To

keep you informed, we created the global

REC blog, which has been running since May

this year.

So far we have covered topics such as IFRS,
