    OutlooksremainpositiveinalleightAsiaPacificcountriesandterritories.First-quarterforecastsarestrongerinfivecountriesandterritoriesincomparisontoQuarter42014,weakeninonlyoneandareunchangedintwo.Employerhiringconfidencestrengthensyear-over-yearinsixcountriesandterritories,declinesinoneandisunchangedinone.EmployersinIndiareportthestrongesthiringplansaswellasthemostoptimisticacrosstheglobe,whiletheregionsweakestforecastisreportedbyAustralianemployers.

    Employersineachofthe10countriessurveyedintheAmericasalsoreportpositiveOutlooks.Hiringconfidencestrengthensinfivecountries,dipsinthreeandisunchangedintwowhencomparedtothelastthreemonthsof2014.However,hiringactivityisexpectedtoslowcomparedtolastyearatthistimeinsixcountries,improveinonlythreeandremainunchangedinone.EmployersinPanamareportthestrongestfirst-quarterhiringplanswhilethoseinArgentinaexpecttheweakestjobgrowth.

    ManpowerGroupinterviewedover65,000employersacross42countriesandterritoriestomeasureanticipatedlabormarketactivity*betweenJanuaryandMarch2015.Allparticipantswereasked,HowdoyouanticipatetotalemploymentatyourlocationtochangeinthethreemonthstotheendofMarch2015ascomparedtothecurrentquarter?

    Forecastsindicatethatthehiringpaceinmostoftheworldslabormarketswillnotshiftdramaticallyincomparisontothreemonthsagoorlastyearatthistime.Staffinglevelsareexpectedtogrowbyvaryingmarginsinallbutfourcountriesbutthereislittleevidenceofabroad-basedaccelerationofhiringactivity.Instead,patternssimilartopriorquarterscontinue.EmployerconfidenceinboththeU.S.andtheUKcontinuestograduallyimprove.HiringintentionsinChinaandBrazilremainpositive,buttheenergeticpacethatoncecharacterizedbothlabormarketscontinuestoslowdowntomoremodestlevels.AndthehiringpaceinIrelandandSpainregainsmomentumasOutlooksagainturnpositivefollowingdipsintonegativeterritorythreemonthsago.

    Acrosstheglobe,employersin38ofthe42countriesandterritoriesreportpositivefirst-quarterhiringplans.OutlooksaregenerallystrongerwhencomparedtotheQuarter42014andQuarter12014surveys;forecastsimprovein22countriesanddeclineinonly12quarter-over-quarter,andimprovein24countrieswhiledecliningin13year-over-year.HiringconfidencefortheJanuary-MarchtimeframeisonceagainstrongestinIndia,TaiwanandNewZealand.TheweakestandonlynegativeforecastsarereportedbyemployersinFinland,Italy,NetherlandsandSwitzerland.

    IntheEurope,MiddleEast&Africa(EMEA)regionjobprospectsaremixed:Employersin20of24countriesforecastpayrollgainsinthequarterahead,whileemployersinfourcountriesexpectstaffinglevelstodecline.Thehiringforecastimprovesin12countriesquarter-over-quarter,andstrengthensin15inayear-over-yearcomparison.TurkishemployersreporttheregionsmostoptimistichiringplansforthefirstthreemonthsoftheyearwhilejobgrowthisexpectedtobeweakestinFinland.

    EmployersremaincautiouslyoptimisticinCanadawithpositivehiringintentionsreportedinallindustrysectorsandregions.OpportunitiesforjobseekersareexpectedtobethemostfavorableintheFinance,Insurance&RealEstatesectorwherenearlyoneinfiveemployersintendtoaddtotheirpayrollsduringthefirstthreemonthsoftheyear.

    InMexico,OutlooksarepositiveinallregionsandinallindustrysectorsdespitesharpdeclinesinthecountrysMining&ExtractionsectorwheretheforecastsinkstoitsweakestlevelsinceQuarter42009.

    EmployerscontinuetoforecastjobgrowthinBrazil.However,theforecastremainsatitsleastoptimisticlevelsincethesurveystartedinQuarter42009.Additionally,employersintheManufacturingandtheConstructionsectorsreportthecountrysfirstnegativehiringintentionssincethesurveylaunched.

    AlthoughhiringintentionsremainmostlypositiveinArgentina,employersareevidentlyexpressinguncertaintyaheadofthe2015electionsandamidcontinuinghighinflation;thecountrysforecastistheregionsweakestanddipstotheleastoptimisticlevelinmorethanfiveyears.

    Hiringplansremainpositivethroughouttheregion,withthestrongesthiringplansagainreportedbyemployersinIndia,TaiwanandNewZealand.OutlooksarestrongerinfivecountriesandterritoriesincomparisontoQuarter42014,weakeninoneandareunchangedintwo.Inayear-over-yearcomparison,Outlooksimproveinsixcountriesandterritories,declineinoneandremainunchangedinone.

    Forthefourthconsecutivequarter,employersinIndiareportthemostoptimisticforecastamongall42countriesandterritoriesparticipatinginthesurvey.TheOutlookisunchangedfromthreemonthsagobutnotablystrongerinayear-over-yearcomparison,withconsiderableyear-over-yeargainsforecastinsixofsevenindustrysectorsandtwooffourregions.Talentisexpectedtoremaininshortsupplyacrossallsectors,butespeciallyinorganizationsassociatedwithIT,Finance,ConstructionandConsumerDurables.

    AsimilarlyvigoroushiringpaceisexpectedinTaiwanwithemployersreportingthemostoptimisticforecastsincethesurveylaunchedinQuarter22005.Finance,Insurance&RealEstatesectoremployersreportthestrongestfirst-quarterhiringplans,whileOutlooksintheServicesandtheWholesale&RetailTradesectorsclimbtotheirmostoptimisticlevelssincethesurveystarted.

    InternationalComparisonsAsiapacificOpportunitiesforJapanesejobseekerscontinuetogrowsteadilyandemployerhiringintentionsarestrongerthanatanypointsinceQuarter22008.ForthefifthconsecutivequarterMining&Constructionsectoremployersexpectthestrongestjobgrowth.Demandforengineers,ITandretailspecialistscontinues,andthisisdrivingforecastsinsixofsevenindustrysectorsandallthreeregionstotheirstrongestlevelssincebeforetherecession.

    Buoyedbytheneedtotaptheirmassiveinternalmarket,Chinashiringpaceisexpectedtoremainsteadythroughthefirstthreemonthsof2015.Forecastsarepositiveinallindustrysectorsandallregions.However,Outlooksweakenbyvaryingmarginsinmostsectorsandregionsinayear-over-yearcomparison.OneexceptionistheServicessectorwhere,consistentwiththeshifttowardamoreservices-basedeconomy,theOutlookclimbsslightlyfromlastyearatthistime.

    OpportunitiesforjobseekersremainsolidinNewZealandwheretheforecastisnowstrongerthanatanypointsinceQuarter22007.JobgrowthisexpectedtobestrongestintheMining&Constructionsectorwheremorethanfourof10employersindicatetheywilladdtotheirpayrollsinthefirstthreemonthsoftheyear.

    ForecastsremainpositiveineachofAustraliasindustrysectorsandinallbutoneregion,butactivityassociatedwiththeimportantminingandresourcessectorremainsflat.Asaresult,overalljobgrowthremainsmodestandtheOutlookweakensslightlycomparedtothreemonthsago.
