Topthreeprobonochallengesinthecountry:ThegreatestchallengeremainstherecognitionofprobonoinGermany.TherearestillminoruncertaintiesaroundworkingprobonoforGermanclients.ProBonoDeutschlande.V.willcontinuetoworktowardstheremovalofthosestatutoryhurdlesandtoimprovetheregulatoryframework.Afurtherchallengeistheneedtoeducatethelegalandcharitablesectorabouttheconceptofprobonoandtoprovidemoreinformationonhowtoprovideprobonolegaladvice.TheexistingengagementoflawyersinthisfieldneedstobemademorevisibleandpromotedmorestronglyamongstNGOs.ThisisoneoftheAssociation’stoppriorities.Howtogetinvolved:TheAssociationisfundamentallyopentoalllawyersandlawfirmswillingtocommitthemselvestotheprincipleofprobonolegaladviceandabletorendersuchadvisoryservices.Wemeetevery4to6weeksoverlunchinFrankfurt,withlawyersresidinginotherlocationsregularlydialingin.FormoreinformationcontactPeterBraunandKarinaFletcher.
