GLOBAL PREMIER SOCCERRESIDENTIAL CAMP BOOKLET

GPS RESIDENTIAL CAMP PROGRAMGPS currently provides soccer programming in nine States and has developed into one of the biggest soccer clubs in the United States. We are committed to player development and the pursuit of excellence, and have become a leading source of US Youth National team players.

GPS currently has two players in the U15 National Team and three players developed by GPS, have been selected to the US U17 Residency program in recent years.

In addition to developing players at the youth level, Global Premier Soccer has also seen many players move on to play professionally and representing their country. Some examples of these players are;

GPS RESIDENTIAL CAMP PROGRAMSGPS Residential Camps offer a fun and developmentally appropriate soccer environment for teams, and individual players, aged 9 to 18 years. At each location we offer a residential experience, or players can commute and participate in an all-day program. Our unique curriculum is built around technical, tactical and functional training. GPS, via their sports psychology partner, Provelop, will also provide seminars and sports psychology evaluations at select camps.

See below for the various types of Residential Camps on offer in 2013;

COlleGe ID CAmpThe GPS college ID camp will be staffed by coaches from leading New England Colleges, including Bates and Boston University. College coaches will be on site for the duration of the camp supported by GPS staff members. Sessions will recreate the college soccer environment with evening sessions dedicated to games evaluated by college coaches.

GpS GOAlkeepeR CAmpThe Global Premier Soccer Goalkeeping Residential Camps will feature the proven GPS curriculum for training goalkeepers. This high intensity week will encompass all aspects of goalkeeping. Evening sessions will include video plus seminars on what it takes to succeed at the college level. Each GK Residential camp will be overseen by GPS Director of Goalkeeping, Steve Quinones, who has coached at the collegiate and national team level.

GpS STRIkeR CAmpThe Striker Camp is designed for the attack-minded player looking to hone their skills in and around the penalty area. This program will look at the wide range of finishing and shooting techniques from heading and volleys, to 1v1s with the goalie. This will be combined with functional practices and live game scenarios.

HIGH SCHOOl pReSeASOn CAmpThe GPS High School Preseason Camp will give High School teams (private and public) an exciting opportunity to prepare for the season in a professional and controlled environment. This camp will provide a competitive edge moving into the start of their high school soccer season. Evening sessions will include competitive games, tactical and video analysis and a seminar on the college recruitment process.

Bridgton Academy, maineGpS Residential Camp

Facility Details Located in South-Western Maine, Bridgton Academy is in the heart of Maine’s beautiful lakes region and in the foothills of the White Mountains of nearby New Hampshire. It features, in addition to state of the art indoor and outdoor soccer game and practice facilities, high quality accommodation, an impressive lecture hall for presentations, access to a private beach (beach soccer anyone?), tennis courts and much more.

JULY CAMPSDarien lake Residential Camp, new YorkGpS Residential Camp

Facility Details New York’s largest combination Theme Park & Water Park resort is packed full of action. Players will stay at the on-site Lodge on the Lake Hotel. Sessions will take place just a short 5 minute bus journey away at Pembroke sports fields where campers will have access to the 6 grass fields and 2 pavilions before returning to unlimited day time buffet and evenings filled with 6 world class roller coasters, go karts, laser shows and much more!

Bryant University, Rhode Island Boys College ID Camp

Facility Details The Bryant men’s soccer program will be hosting an overnight camp for players interested in playing at the colliegiate level. The camp will be a mix of positional drills, technical stations, small-sided games and 11 v. 11 matches. Also, other local colleges and universities will be invited to attend scrimmages and sessions. Each camper will stay in the Bryant University dorms and meals will be provided each day.

Facility DetailsThe Campus is located in the picturesque village of Castleton, 12 miles west of Rutland, one of Vermont’s largest cities. New York, Boston, Hartford and Montreal are all within easy driving distance. We will be using modern air condition dorms with great views of the athletics facilities. Castleton has a state of art turf field along with two full size grass fields.
