ABOUT GLOBAL PASSPORT

Introduction

In this globalized and fast – changing society, English has become the global language and a vital key to open the door to the world. However, the young generation of Vietnam are still not equipped with proper English skill as a result of lacking practical experience and interactive teaching method. This has prevented them from stepping out of the local border and reaching for higher opportunities.

In 2014, AIESEC is NEU is launching the Global Passport Project – a nationalized project of AIESEC in Vietnam – including a communicative English course and various cultural activities. We believe that by providing an unique teaching method and interactive environment, we can create a great milestone in developing young people, thus positively impact and improve the whole society. Plus, the project is hope to be a bridge for cultural exchange between young people from various countries and widen their mindset about the world.

Main activities

• Timeline: February – March 2014 • Communicative English Course: 6 lessons/3 weeks • 3 Cultural Activities on the weekends • Orientation Day and further training • Other extra activities with local AIESEC members

Job Descriptions

Design and develop content for English classes and project's events.

Deliver interactive classes to your students based on given

topics together. Ensure development of your students language skills by tests,

classes activities, constant communication Participate in LC activities: orientation day, local committee

meetings, project's team meetings, promotion activities, culture activities

Represent your culture to Vietnamese youth: Project

participants, AIESEC members, participants of other AIESEC activities

Fill in AIESEC Global Community Development Program Feddback Survey 3 times and give us comments: after matched status, in Vietnam after around 2 weeks and back to home country

example: laptops, souvenirs, flag, etc for cultural presentations, or prepared materials that you are willing to use during the course).

Festivals and celebrations

The Vietnamese year follows a rhythm of festivals and religious observances, ranging from solemn family gatherings at the ancestral altar to national celebrations culminating in Tet, the Vietnamese New Year.
