he charter of the Global Head of Quality will be to build a proactive QM initiative, designing and implementing policies, standards and processes to ensure that quality expectations are met throughout product design and engineering through subcontractor manufacturing and complete customer satisfaction. This individual will be accountable for complete oversight of quality assurance and quality control in every aspect of Central’s products, operations, supply chain and organization, thereby ensuring customers always receive defect-free product, shipped on time, with outstanding service.

eporting to the President, the Global Head of Quality will have overall management and budgetary responsibility for the full range of functions within the department, comprised of Quality Engineering and Quality Control/Assurance in Cleanroom and Production environments. This position currently oversees a total staff of six (6).

Develop and implement the strategy, policies, and processes for a world-class QA/QC capability, implementing systems and controls, taking the necessary critical steps to improve product performance and consistency in overall quality across all product lines;

Coordinate and centralize all QA/QC activities across all departments, to include subcontractors, and execute same within budgetary guidelines; implement policies and procedures that ensure compliance;

Direct all operational aspects of Quality Assurance, including implementing engineering design controls, creating test plans and implementing test procedures, conducting raw material and OEM inspection and testing, material release, batch document review and final product release;

Direct all operational aspects of Quality Control including internal audits of systems and procedures, materials and components, regular testing and inspection of in-process and finished product, and documenting inspections in accordance with governing standards and specifications;

Implement clear, effective performance metrics in the Supply Chain; maintain Supplier Management System including internal inspection processes and procedures, supplier assessments and audits, supplier rating system, and Subcontractor Corrective Action Requests (SCARs) and Corrective and Preventative Action (CAPA) system;

Lead the organization’s Material Review Board (MRB) process and for ensure timely product dispositions;

Lead company-wide document control activities, including Quality Systems Manual, Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, Audit Procedures, etc;

Develop and motivate a dynamic team; implement clear, effective performance metrics for the QA/QC organization as a whole, and as individuals;

Drive a customer-oriented culture into the QA/QC teams, as well as a quality 1st focus throughout the development, engineering, operations and sales organizations;

Lead all ISO 9001:2008 certification maintenance and audits; prepare audit reports and CAPA reports as needed; conduct company-wide training in ISO 9001:2008 principles and Good Manufacturing Practices;

Communicate directly with customers and subcontractors; analyze and address quality issues, making the necessary recommendations for changes to design and/or manufacture, thereby eliminating repeated quality issues and complaints;

Work closely with the President and the management team in the continual assessment of the Company’s overall QA/QC infrastructure and ability to execute its plan and attain the highest level of quality throughout the product portfolio; provide key input into the operation management of a rapidly growing organization.

ou are a technically savvy and service-oriented individual with demonstrated success in leading and building value within the QA/QC organization in a highly technical and engineering driven environment. As a results-oriented agent for change, you will have the demonstrated ability to build and lead a team that puts a great emphasis on execution.

ell versed in the art of building strong relationships, you possess superior communication skills, a leadership presence, and the ability to influence and work effectively with a variety of senior executives and line managers both internally and externally. • 10+ years’ experience with progressively more

responsibility in QA/QC functions in the semiconductor industry; specific experience in discrete semiconductors including bare die products is a must;

• At least 5 years in a management level position, and a solid record of accomplishment in leading the delivery of an integrated, highly responsive QA/QC strategy;

• Strong ability to work directly through the entire development to production and customer satisfaction continuum;

• Prior success in leading quality audits of subcontractors and motivating positive change in Corrective Actions on a global basis;

• Prior success in leading ISO 9001:2008 and/or related certification processes and audits teams; experience in ISO14000 a plus;

• Demonstrated experience in assessing and implementing the necessary changes to the quality assurance and quality control infrastructure and systems, to include in-depth knowledge of cutting-edge Quality Systems Management principles;

• Knowledge of various TQM systems, 8D problem solving and reporting, FMEA (Failure Mode Effect Analysis), ADPQ (Advanced Product Quality Planning), Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Continuous Quality Improvement, and Kaizan, will all be considered a significant plus;

• Hands-on, “in the trenches” style and strong work-ethic with a high level of energy, motivation and enthusiasm;

• A positive outlook with an infectious enthusiasm and courage of conviction, embracing change and empowering others to do the same;

• A naturally collaborative individual with the influencing skills to build consensus among disparate interest groups;

• Ability to travel at least 20% of the time, both domestically and internationally;

• A Bachelor level degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics is required. An advanced degree and other quality discipline certifications are a major plus.
