Silicon Valley Data Center
Built to Withstand Earthquakes
Our SV1 Data Center will be strategically located in Santa Clara, just a few miles
from major airports and roadways. SV1 offers three stories of data floor,
with 5 megawatts of critical IT load on both the second and third floors, and 6
megawatts on the fourth floor. To mitigate the risk of damage from earthquakes,
SV1 will be built for seismic stability by utilizing a base isolation system design
that incorporates a combination of subterranean pendulum isolation and
viscous dampers.
Site Features• 47-acre campus
• Four buildings with a total of 1 million sq. ft. of space and 144MW of critical IT load
• Directly connected to the ultra-high count fiber ring that joins all the major local data centers and several transpacific submarine cables
• Carrier neutral facility with many Tier 1 carriers and access to top cloud providers
• Tax incentives can save data center clients millions of dollars a year
• Multiple “Meet Me Rooms”
• Superior reliability from N+1 electrical and mechanical redundancy (4 to make 3 distributed redundancy)
• Renewable energy options
• Industry-leading security, compliance and safety procedures
• Customer amenities including conference rooms, lounge and break room
Hillsboro Data Center
In the Pacific Northwest Technology Hub
Our Hillsboro Data Center Campus in Oregon is located in the technology hub of the Pacific Northwest. The campus will be directly connected to the ultra-high count fiber ring that serves as a cross connect for several transpacific submarine cables that reduce latency
between the U.S. and high-growth Asian markets. Hillsboro is known for low TCO, as data center clients benefit from favorable tax incentives and low
operational costs as a result of the region’s typically mild temperatures.

Itasca, Illinois, which is about 27 miles northwest of downtown Chicago. Itasca is in a prime area for data centers, which
includes Franklin Park and Elk Grove Village. Data center operators appreciate
Chicago’s extensive fiber network, affordable electricity, minimal risk of natural disasters, and convenience to
travel and amenities. In addition, Illinois exempts qualifying data centers from paying state and local sales taxes on
equipment such as servers and storage racks.
Site Features• Three buildings on separate
campuses:
• CA1: 12.6 MW, 250,000 sq. ft.
• CA2: 26.1 MW, 250,000 sq. ft.
