Transcript of GLI 2010
15TH ANNUAL
Girls’LeadershipInstitute
“The Girls’ Leadership Institute was a great opportunity
to make friends, take risks and learn how to make good
decisions and possibly shape the future of others.”
“Before I went to the Girls’ Leadership Institute, I thought leadership was
about having control over a group of people. I found out that it was about
decision-making, setting goals, working well in teams, communicating,
listening to everyone’s ideas and getting things done. As the beginning
of the school year drew closer, I started to realize how much I would
use the different skills that were taught at GLI. I will never forget what
I learned at the Institute.”
“GLI was a wonderful summer experience that helped me
find myself as a leader and I had a lot of fun at the same
time. It was the highlight of my summer.”
“Going to the Girls’ Leadership Institute was a wonderful experience for
me. I learned a lot about leadership and how I react in different situations.
Participating in GLI has helped me greatly and I will never forget the
experiences I had there and all the new friends I made.”
