Fireworks biz gets no bang this year By Cathy DeDe Chronicle Managing Editor Fourth of July weekend won’t have much of a bang this year, which hits Santore Fireworks especially hard. Based in Scha- ghticoke, it is the Capital Region’s major pyrotechnics provider since purchasing Alonzo Fire- works in 2015. Most area fireworks shows are cancelled, includ- ing major Santore clients Lake George, the City of Glens Falls/ Glens Falls Symphony, Bolton, Hague, the Washington County Fairgrounds, the City of Albany, downtown Saratoga and the Rac- ino, Schenectady’s Rivers Casino and West Point Military Academy, Santore manager Jeff Ward told The Chronicle.
