ISHOS - glass pin post insulator

Insulators ISHOS-10-20 are based on insulating parts and made of tempered glass. This design feature makes it easy to identify the damaged insulator. In case of breakdown of the insulator, insulating piece of tempered glass breaks into many small fragments. Thus ISHOS cannot be formed as a result of crack during electrical or mechanical abuse, through which will be a short circuit to ground, and it is impossible to detect such an insulator without electrical testing. In the event of breakdown or micro cracks insulation item located in the state of stress as a result of hardening breaks and points to the failed insulator. The pattern of destruction is identical to suspension insulators made of tempered glass.

Advantages of special insulators ISHOS-10-20 for disconnectors PLHD against porcelain insulators ONSH-10-20:

- Excludes the fall of the insulator and knife PLHD to the operator from a height of support; - high value-more than withstood the breaking load (more than 2 times) -more than the high value of resistance to dynamic shocks (more than 20 times) - Earthquake resistant, vandal-proof - No hidden defects in the insulating body.

The mechanical strength of the insulator ISHOS through design features is limited only by the strength of the metal pin of the bottom flange.
