    MovementHow the movement works?Gladiators can move using Movement Action, Speed points, or Reflex Special Move. wo general rules: Forany movement done its possible to rotate by 1 click or ree. Its possible to convert 1 movement to a rotationo 1-2 clicks. Examples:

    When taking a movement action, the characters acing stays the same during the movement?No, you can rotate by 1 hexside afer each single movement done. So i you move by 3 movements you canrotate by 3 steps, 1 step afer each movement done.

    In the special move Reflex, the acting player gets to make one normal movement as per the action, meaning

    he gets to move up to 3 hexes, or does he get one single movement point to spend, thus moving up to 1 hex atthe most?You can move by 1 movement step (1 hex) or the special move; i you can move more you have to spendSpeed points.

    CombatI read about an optional rule that adds damage or every 3 points o attack value difference above the targetsdeense value. Tis is not a minor change to the rules and I think that it drastically changes the dynamics othe whole game! Heavy attack characters become stronger. It seems a lot more realistic or a very big attackto hit with more damage but i it unbalances the game we will try and play the game as it is. So which is the

    recommended way to play or maximum strategic and tactical gameplay?Tis rule is or true skilled player, which want to try also unbalanced customized characters. Anyway thegame is different each time: one gladiator is strong against an opponent and maybe weak against another one.

    We simply couldnt find any reason as to why you may want to keep each players score hidden when playing

    a Player vs Player match. Is there a specific reason or the game is playable without using the player screens aswell? Does it change the balance o the game? I find the screens distracting.Maybe i you use pre-generate characters is not so important at the beginning o the game, as you can see theopponent characteristics on the manual. During the game, it becomes important as so you will not know theactual score in a Skill, Abilities, etc o your opponent.On the other hand, i you make a custom character is become very important also at the beginning o the game,as the other player dont know your characteristics. For example: i you know the powers o the other player youwill play in different manner. Same i you know how many points he lefs in Offense, Guard, etc. etc.

    Te attacking player chooses the action card to play rom the card on the table? When he has to say whichcard he want to use? When he can show it?Te player can use an Action card already on the table OR an Action card he has on his hand. In both caseshe put the card played on the table with the Combat cards he want to add. I the Action card comes rom hishand, all cards played will be ace-down (hidden). I the Action card comes rom the table, the Action cardwill be visible, meanwhile the other Combat cards played will be ace-down (hidden).Afer that, the deending player does the same, choosing the action card and the combat cards he wants toplay by the same way.When both done this process, the attacker shows the cards played and declare his Attack score. Ten the de-

    ender does the same. Te deender can also simply declare to the attacker hit or miss without declare anyDeensive score.

    Te character scores are visible or not?No, they are hidden by the player screen. During a fight, the attacker has only to declare his Attack scoreand the Deender his Deensive score (or simply take the attack and the damage points without declaring it).He dont have to say how they made it. Obviously some points are on the table (items, combat cards, etc.) sostrike afer strike the players will know their opponent skills.

    From rulebook: Its possible to remove 1 marker during your combat round by spending 2 Character Ele-

    ments . But its possible also to spend 4 Character Elements in one time and remove 2 markers? And 6character Elements to remove 3 markers?Yes.

    Can a player spend the character elements IMMEDIAELY whenever he gains one o those status markersor should they remain with him until his next combat round? Te exact timing o when these markers can beremoved is not very clear in the manual.You can do that only at your turn, so you have to wait your next combat round (this is so or both cases: i theopponent give you the markers is not your round so you have to wait, but also i you take them in an attack,as the markers are added afer the player round end; so you have to wait the next round.

    Feint: using it in one attack the player gain the 2 VP or the attack done?No.

    Using the Feint the player takes back all cards played? All powers, abilities, skills used in the attack?He takes back all card played excepting the Feint card. He recovers also powers, abilities, and skills used INthe attack. He do not recover the points spent beore the attack: or example the Speed points used to movenear the opponent.

    An attack rom behind against items (with the specific special move) provides negative VP? And how itworks? And attacking with the net?

    Yes, it provides -3 VP or the attack, but none negative VP or the damage made to the item. Same or the net.

    O the 5 possible actions (Standby, Strength, Dexterity, Movement and Berserk) only the strength, dexterityand berserk are considered Attack actions and thereore only when choosing one o those you are allowed to

    make an attack declaration against someone/something during the combat rounds. Is correct?As an example lets take the special move Sweep that has as a requirement to be played with either an attack ora deense action. Meaning that you can only play Sweep i your action or this round was Strength, Dexterityor Berserk, right? (or i you are deending with a reaction o course)Yes.

    In page 1 o the rulebook under Energy cards it states that the number o cards in your hand divided by 2,represent your Dexterity bonus. In page 6 though, under the Dexterity action paragraph it states that theDexterity bonus is calculated by dividing the OAL number o cards in your hand (energy or not) by 2.Same with the example afer the dexterity rule. It calculates all the cards in the players hand. Which one iscorrect?

    All cards in your hand count.

    When you want to play a Standby action rom an straight up action card already open on the table (that is to

    flip it ace down and rotate it), do you pay Blood points as usual or not?Yes, you have to pay blood points.

    During the leap special power and assuming that someone uses a colossal 6 speed points to dash to his target(he moves 6 hexes), can he claim BOH the +6 to attack (+2 or each o the first 3 hexes traveled) AND the+3 to damage (or each o the last 3 hexes traveled)?

    No. Te max bonus applied is +6 to hit or +3 to damage, or a mix o them.

    Victory and VPAfer the end o the 6th round i assume that the SANDING player that has the most VP wins the game.knocked out gladiators rom previous rounds with more VP cant steal the win, right?No, its rare but it can happen. Victory represents the ame obtained and how much the spectators love you,so also killed gladiators can win!

    AnimalsWhen playing cooperative mode the manual says that the animals enter the arena on turn 1, round 1. Iassumed that this means ALL the animals enter the arena at this time right? We had 10 dogs, 3 wolves and 1lion entering all at once. Is this correct?Yes, but players can also change this aspect as they wish. For example put inside 3 dogs, 1 wol at round 1, 3dogs, 1 wol, and lion at round two, the remaining at round 3. I like also use the die to check i animals comein and which animals. As you like.

    When a dog rolls doubles another dog comes in. When exactly does that happen? We played it so that i the

    roll happened during the animals turn then the new animal entered the arena immediately afer the one thatrolled the doubles. I the doubles roll happened while the dog was deending we just kept the new dog outsidethe arena and allowed it to enter when the animals had their next turn. Did we do this correctly or not?Yes, correct :-)

    ErrataIn the example at the end o the manual says that Mirmillo {who is ace down} will have to spend 6 CharacterElements to stand up and recover his Normal status. Shouldnt that be 4 character elements or not?Yes, its an error. 4 character elements.
