At FPD, students discover their God-given talents and ways those talents can be used to better their commu-nities. They develop relationships that support them for years to come. They learn more about our Lord so they can share the joy of His love with others and be confident in their beliefs. Your gift helps make all of this possible. Your gift helps FPD educate and equip students to change the world for God’s glory.

ANNUAL FUNDThe FPD Annual Fund is a giving program created to enhance and expand the educational and extracurricular offerings of FPD. While tuition dollars provide funds for the school’s basic daily operating expenses, private gifts are necessary for our programs to continue to grow and thrive. Gifts to the Annual Fund may be unrestricted (used wherever the need is greatest) or restricted to a specific area, department, sports, etc. Gifts may be in honor or memory of a loved one. All donors are recognized in the Annual Report printed each December.

Donors who make gifts totaling $1000 or more annually, including matching gifts, are automatically qualified to become members of the Day School Society, FPD’s annual giving club, and are recognized at a special reception and dinner each year. Donors who wish to remain anonymous may choose to opt out of membership. Donors who make lifetime gifts totaling $100,000 or more are considered Life Members of the Day School Society.

ENDOWMENT GIVINGOur Board of Trustees, Development Committee and Office of Advancement are always working to increase the endowment at FPD. Endowment gifts are invested and managed by the Finance Committee of the Board of Trustees. Then, the earnings on the investments are used to provide scholarships, tuition assistance, and meet other needs of the school. However, the endowed gifts themselves are never touched and remain in place for perpetuity, securing the future of the school.

SCHOLARSHIPSScholarships are another wonderful way to support FPD. Scholarships can be either need-based or merit-based and can be endowed or expendable. For an Endowed Scholarship, a minimum gift of $25,000 is required to establish an endowed scholarship. That gift is invested and only the earnings are awarded, so the scholarship exists at the school forever. Expendable Scholarships require a minimum gift of $1,000 and the entire gift is awarded. An additional gift is then required to keep the scholarship going from year to year.

ALUMNI SCHOLARSHIP FUNDAlumni may also give to the Alumni Scholarship Fund which combines contributions into an annual scholarship awarded to a current student who is the son or daughter of an FPD alum. No minimum amount is required to contribute toward this fund. Alumni Scholarship recipients are nominated and selected by school faculty and administration.
