Girls in Tech is now more than 62,000 members strong, across 47 chapters in 33 countries and on 6 continents — existing solely to empower women in their STEM careers. We do this by creating a global support framework for women at all levels of their careers, arming them with the information, skills and confidence they need to break down barriers. Our innovative coding, entrepreneurial bootcamps, pitch competitions and conferences are recognizedglobally for their world-class caliber, overall impact, and ability to increase the women in the tech pipeline and educate thousands of women looking to thrive in their STEM careers.

This evening is a celebration of the Girls in Tech community and a welcome party for those who care about empowering the nextgeneration of women leaders. Guests will enjoy live music, fine dining, live entertainment, and an open bar, all while meeting and developing relationships with the key players in tech and diversity who fill the room at the Girls in Tech Annual Gala.

San Francisco City Hall

San Francisco City Hall re-opened in 1915 in its open space area in the city's Civic Center. It is a Beaux-Arts monument to the City Beautiful movement that epitomized the high-minded American Renaissance of the 1880s through 1917. The structure's dome is taller than that of the United States Capitol by 42 feet. The present building replaced an earlier City Hall that was destroyed during the 1906 earthquake, which was two blocks from the present location. The principal architect was Arthur Brown, Jr. of Bakewell & Brown, whose attention to the finishing details extended to the doorknobs and the typeface to be used in signage. Brown's blueprints of the building are preserved at the Bancroft Library at the University of California, Berkeley.

Girls in Tech is a global non-profit that works to put an end to gender inequality in high-tech industries and startups. We do this byeducating and empowering women who are passionate about technology. We offer everything from coding courses to bootcamps to hackathons to startup competitions, for any woman, no matter her age or profession. It is Girls in Tech’s mission to support women by helping them gain access and find the community they need to succeed in tech.

Girls in Tech was founded in 2007 and is headquartered in San Francisco. The Girls in Tech global community is 47 chapters strong, impacting more than 62,000 members in 33 countries. Because of its far reach, Girls in Tech event programming in each chapter varies to fit the unique needs of each community.
