Hay Group is a global management consultancy with 94 offices in 47 countries and over 3000 employees servicing more than 7000 clients around the world. Historically Hay Group has operated as separate country business units resulting in units first and foremost meeting their own needs with regards to systems and processes. The primary stakeholders of the projects were located in London, England and Corporate IT in Philadelphia, USA. All work was performed remotely with recurring phone calls, Webex presentations, and on-site meetings. The project was organized in separate engagements: A 4 weeks envisioning phase to define the scope of work and create a project plan and wireframes to support the executive strategy to: Operate on a consistent global platform with corporate standards & processes Migrate existing Lotus Notes applications and databases to the Microsoft platform Aggregate content across practices, service lines, business units, countries and offices Provide a sophisticated search center to share and retrieve critical information. A 10 months Planning/Building/Deployment phase to implement MOSS according to the scope of work and project plan delivered in the envisioning phase The primary components of the project consisted of: Designing and implementing the infrastructure for the development, staging and production environments. Microsoft Caribbean & Central America 04/07 – 06/07 Contracted to work with MCS and the Government of Puerto Rico. Architected a MOSS/InfoPath solution to allow citizens of Puerto Rico to fill up electronic forms to be processed by government agencies. The proposed solution needed to be integrated with an existing Citizen portal built with CMS 2002.

The Asbury Group, Gaithersburg, Md. 10/06 – 05/07 Developed a MOSS Clinical Business Portal. Asbury’s customers will use the portal to run their daily operations based on their job functions. The portal integrates a user’s daily activities with real-time information through the rendering of Key Performance Indicators (KPI) triggering the execution of business processed though workflows. Technologies used : MOSS 2007, WSS 3.0, Excel Services, BDC, SSO, InfoPath 2007, SQL Server 2005, SQL reporting Services 2005, and Task Workflows. PKIs are rendered using BDC and Excel Services using external data connections.

Asbury Services, Gaithersburg, Md. 12/03 – 03/07 Managed and led a team of developers, designers and system engineers to deploy an employee-facing intranet portal for over 1500 employees utilizing Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server technologies. Virginia Information Technology Agency 3/05 – 9/05 Implemented an employee-facing intranet/extranet portal for over 1500 users utilizing Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server technologies. Project duration was 6+ months and areas of responsibility included account & project management, technical leadership, information architecture, design, custom web part development, and capacity planning. The implementation team was augmented with VITA’ s developers and content administrator.

Web Parts and applications using SharePoint technologies

ASI Employee Directory for SPS: This web part leverages the SPS profile database. A portal administrator can set a search criteria based on user profile properties. The search results will be organized in an HTML table with printer-friendly capabilities.

ASI Phone Directory for SPS: This web part allows a user to retrieve phone information after entering a person first name or last name.

ASI Navigation for SPS, “Hover” & “Windows Look & Feel”: This web part renders SPS areas and sub-areas in a traditional drop-down. Users can see and navigate only areas they have access to.

ASI TreeView for SPS: Same functionality as the drop-down but with a tree-view display

ASI TreeView for WSS: Renders and entire structure of WSS sites and sub-sites. This is a great web part to include in left navigation of any WSS sites.

ASI Password Manager: Allows users to update their password from a SharePoint area or personal workspace

ASI Active Directory Self-Service: Enables users to connect to Active Directory to manage their profile.
