Giant Pandas

• Scientists aren’t sure how long giant pandas live in the wild. Chinese scientists have said zoo pandas live as old as 35 years old.

• A wild giant panda’s diet is 99% bamboo. Every so often they eat grasses and small rodents or musk deer fawns.

• In zoos they eat bamboo, sugar cane, rice grue, a special high fiber biscuit, carrots, apples, and sweet potatoes.

Terracotta Warriors

• The Terracotta Warriors are stone army figures.• The Terracotta Warriors represent a small

portion of the 8,000 strong underground army that was buried in front of one of the emperors’ tombs to defend him in the after- life.

• Only a small fraction of the total army figures have been uncovered.

• Right now they have only discovered 8,000 soldiers with 130 chariots, 530 horses, and 150 cavalry horses.
