GFNY_RD VIP riders at Punta Cana will receive all necessary basic mechanical bike services, leaving sufficient time for you to enjoy the wonderful cycling vacation ahead. After landing at the Punta Cana Airport (PUJ), VIP riders will be welcomed by the VIP crew saving them immigration line, luggage pick-up and customs. When ready to leave you will be escorted all the way to the exit of the airport to your transportation and to your hotel. Later we can take care of your bike at no extra cost. If you are flying to Punta Cana, we recommend that you book a flight that lands Friday March 20, or no later than 12 at noon on Saturday, March 21. This will still give you sufficient time to get your luggage and travel from the airport and get to the expo before it closes. If you booked your flight already, we recommend you call the airline to change your ticket and not lose your pick-up package at the expo.

IMPORTANT! GFNY race packet pickup hours are: March 21 @11am-6pm (last entry 5:30pm). In-person race packet pickup is mandatory. Each participant must come in person to check-in and pick up their race materials. You must come to the Expo at BlueMall Puntacana Saturday ONLY. You must be at the expo before 5:30pm on Saturday, March 21 in order to be able to pick up your race packet. If you do not come to the expo during expo hours, you forfeit your registration and ability to take part in the event.

For reservations please contact: [email protected] Bike Transport ATTENTION INTERNATIONAL TRAVELERS: PLEASE CONTACT YOUR EXPECTED AIRLINE TO CONFIRM THEY WILL TRANSPORT YOUR BICYLE AS PART OF YOUR LUGGAGE. By bringing your bike to the race, you assure to ride a bike in the right size, with the components that you prefer. You may transport your bike in a travel case, and the lowest budget (free) option for a bike carton is visiting your local bike shop and picking up a carton box from a bike sale they’ve just made. Please consider everything needed to protect your bike during transportation.

Bike Shipping Note that we do not recommend shipping your bike internationally. When shipping the bike internationally, you run the risk of the bike getting stuck in customs and potentially not arriving to the race in time. We strongly recommend flying with your bike.

Bike Mechanical Services GFNY República Dominicana announces multiple bike services available to all riders attending the cycling marathon. BikeZone Punta Cana will be offering a wide range of services such as bike assembly and disassembly, tube changes, hotel pick-up and delivery, maintenance, among others... Make your reservation with time!!! In addition, BikeZone Punta Cana is offering Valet Hotel Bike Pick Up/Drop off Assembly Service. Cost $200 BikeZone Punta Cana will pick up your bike at your hotel prior to GFNY República Dominicana, assemble it and return it to you. After GFNY República Dominicana, BIKEZONE will pick up the bike, disassemble it and return it to your hotel.

GOOD NEWS!!! GFNY_RD will conveniently have a covered and secured area for bike

storage and mechanical service by Bike Zone at BlueMall Puntacana so riders can have

their bike assembled, disassembled and stored in/out for few days.

A: No, the qualification is for riders who want to start in the racer corral, seeded in the front of the field. If you finished in the top 10% of your age group at any GFNY World race since Campagnolo GFNY World Championship 2017, you get a racer corral starting position at the GFNY REPUBLICA DOMINICANA Championship 2020 in Punta Cana. Only completion of the longest course counts toward qualification. Check to see if you qualified for the racer corral here: www.gfny.com/qualifiers18.pdf Q: DO I NEED TO BE A LICENSED RACER? I JUST WANT TO RIDE AS A PERSONAL CHALLENGE. A: GFNY is open to all fitness levels. You don’t need to be a licensed racer. Some riders will compete for prizes, others will do their best to beat the cut-off. GFNY República Dominicana is about doing your best whether it is competing for the win, trying for a top 10% in your age group or beating the cut-off.
