■ Smaller diameter Under Pressure Tees (UPT) will contain more pressure than larger diameter UPT’s. Cleaning and lubricating bolt threads will reduce friction and permit greater torque

■ The pressure containing capability of a UPT is influenced by the pipe size, the surface quality, the environment and service conditions and installation workmanship

■ The amount of pressure that a full circle repair clamp will contain is proportionate to the diameter of the pipe being repaired and the amount of torque applied to the bolts. Smaller diameter repair clamps will contain more pressure than larger diameter repair clamps. Cleaning and lubricating bolt threads will reduce friction and permit greater torque.

General Information

■ Cascade Xtra couplings – 40% more range tolerance than standard couplings, allowing pipes with larger differential OD’s to be joined and reducing errors and stock.

Clamp for Repairing Leaking Lead or Rubber Gaskets Joints on Spigot & Socket Pipes on Cast Iron, Ductile Iron, Asbestos Cement & PVC Pipe

Easy To fit and highly cost effective compared to encapsulations muffs

Materials:

Carbon Steel Coating: fusion bonded epoxy (min. 250 microns) Gasket: EPDM or NBR

The clamps consists of two rings that open up to fit around the pipe. The inner ring of bolts push the gasket into the leaking joint, the outer ring of bolts are then turn outward creating leverage to compress the gasket into the joint. We recommend knocking up lead joints using new lead wool to stem the leak, prior to fit-ting the repair clamp.

The clamps are made to fit each pipe so we require the following information to quote
