Presidency theme 3.: Urban aspects of demographic change/migration

The Hungarian Presidency will

prepare a background report on different policy reactions on demographic changes by urban and regional governments

organize a one-day high-level seminar to discuss the possibilities and constraints of urban policies related to the expected demographic shock in April 2011

Background:• TA agreed at the Informal ministerial meeting in Leipzig, May 2007• Territorial State and Perspectives of the EU (TSP) – evidence base for

policy making, background document for TA• Revision was explicitly stated in TA (Art. 45.) • Responsible: Hungarian Presidency• Hungary has undertaken the coordination of update of the TSP too
