Vembu BDR Suite

Vembu BDR Suite is a portfolio of products designed to backup multiple environments from virtual to physical to

cloud while addressing diverse and advanced use cases - all within your budget.

You can protect your virtual machines, physical machines, files, MS applications, SaaS applications and also get your

data replicated to offsite location or the cloud for DR purposes from a single signup.

You download and install Vembu BDR Server in a dedicated machine. To this server, you connect the backup repository

where you wish to store the backup data. Apart from configuring backups & restore operations, you can monitor and

manage the virtual & physical machine backups from this Vembu BDR Server.

Your requirement decides the type of deployment.

Backup all your VMware/ Hyper-V VMs and Windows machines by directly adding the hosts. Backup

configuration, management and recovery - all from a single console.

In case of large environments, you can reduce the load on the backup server by installing the Vembu VMBackup

proxy and Vembu ImageBackup proxy in the required servers/workstations.

But Vembu BDR server is also vulnerable to disasters. What happens when it goes down?

There is one final step to make your data protection plan airtight- a solid DR plan.

You can store a secondary copy of your backup data in an offsite location using Vembu OffsiteDR or you can

replicate the backup data to Vembu Cloud using Vembu CloudDR.

You can keep a copy of the backup data in Vembu Cloud, hosted in Amazon Web Services. Encrypted with AES-256 bit

encryption algorithm, your data will be stored in the Amazon datacenter that is closest to you.

Install Vembu OffsiteDR in another datacenter away from primary site. This DR site should also have the same system

requirements as the Vembu BDR Server.

Vembu BDR Server will be your backup server, where all the data that you backup gets stored. This software has certain

system requirements to be met by the server machine, for a successful and smooth backup experience.

The above mentioned memory and CPU utilization are same for the BDR server (Windows & Ubuntu) deployed in

physical and virtual environments.

Vembu Portal is a self-service license management portal. You have to register your Vembu BDR Server with your

Vembu Portal Account to continue using after the trial period. After registering your server with the Portal, you can

begin your DR operations.
