Accessing the portal (Employee)

HowdenBenefits.com is an online web based Self Service Portal that enables employees to view details of insurance products offered by their company as part of Employee Benefits. The portal is offered by Howden Insurance Brokers India Pvt. Ltd., who have partnered with you in offering the best of class service.

The portal is easy to use and based on “Self Service” approach. The purpose of this document is to guide employees through features of Howden Benefits.

Getting Started

Once you are enrolled into the Employee Benefits program, you will receive an email from your HR or Administration department containing the portal hyperlink and your user id (usually your employee number).

To access the website you can click on the hyperlink or copy paste the address into a web browser. Once the website is fully loaded, login using your credentials and you will be redirected to the landing page. If you are a first time user, you will need to register first.

Register Now

o Through this option you can register and generate your password.


Register Now - Provide your details registered with us


Enter your Employee ID and DOB

Click on Register

o Enter the details registered with us. Date of birth is a mandatory input to proceed with the registration.

o Click on Register Now to validate your details and proceed with registration.

Register Now – Incorrect date of birth


Click on' ‘Yes’

o If the date of birth details in the system is different from the entered data of birth, system will display incorrect date of birth message and prompt you whether you want to proceed with OTP. If ‘Yes’ system will redirect you to generate OTP screen.

Register Now – Generate OTP


Click to ‘Generate OTP’

o On Click of generate OTP, an email will be sent to your registered email id containing a one time password.

Register Now – Receive your one time password via Email


o You need to enter the OTP received via email in the OTP input box below and click on Register Now button.

Your one time password is sent to your Email ID

Enter OTP received to proceed with your registration

Register Now – Set Password and Security questions


o Once authentication is successful, you can create new password and set security questions.

Forgot Password ?

1. Click on Forgot Password Link in Login Area.


Fill in the Required Information

Your userid (as communicated in welcome Email) Your Full Name - Is auto populated by system Your Date Of Birth (You can use calendar icon or type in) Click On Reset Password button


You will get an email with New with Temporary password as below draft. It will redirect you to change password.


Dear USER,

As requested, we have reset your Portal password, for your protection, neither your User id or UserName is included in

this e-mail.

Your new temporary password is EFLRHDT0 (case sensitive).

Please note that you must change your password once you have logged in to your account.
