*A Subscriber Identity Module (SIM Card) is a “smartcard” that houses personal information, such as your mobile phone number, calling plan, and account information, such as contacts, text messages, and call history. The Verizon Wireless 4G LTE SIM Card is compatible with any Verizon Wireless 4G LTE certified device. The 4G LTE SIM Card can move from one device to another and your wireless service will support the services that are compatible with your new device and service plan. To see which devices are compatible with the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE SIM Card, visit verizonwireless.com/certifieddevice.

Installing the SIM Card*NOTE: If not already inserted, follow the instructions below to insert your 4G LTE SIM card.

1. To install the SIM card, locate and open the cover to the slot and gently pull out the SIM card tray. NOTE: There are two slots underneath the cover (the other slot is for a microSD card).

2. Insert the 4G LTE SIM card into the tray with the Verizon logo face up. Push the tray back into the slot until it “clicks” into place and close the cover.

Installing & Removing the microSD CardYour tablet supports a removable memory card (sold separately).1. To install a microSD card, locate and

open the cover to the slot.NOTE: There are two slots underneath the cover (the other slot is for a SIM card; note the tray).

2. Position the microSD card with the gold strips facing towards the back of the tablet. Slide the microSD card into the slot until it “clicks” into place and replace the cover.

Removing your microSD Card1. Remove the slot cover.2. Push the microSD card inward until the card “clicks” and pops partially out of the slot.

Carefully slide the card out of the slot and replace the cover.

Non-Removable BatteryYour tablet has an internal, rechargeable battery that should be replaced only by LG or an authorized LG repair center. You should never try to open or take apart this tablet yourself. Opening the tablet can cause damage that will void your warranty.

Charging your tablet1. Connect the USB cable to the charging head.

Powering Your Tablet On/OffIt’s important to fully charge the battery before turning on your tablet.

To turn your tablet on :• Press and hold the Power/Lock Key on the right side of the tablet until the screen

turns on.To turn your tablet off :

• Press and hold the Power/Lock Key on the right side of the tablet until the Tablet options menu appears.

• Tap Power off > OK.

Locking/Unlocking Your TabletTo lock the display:

• Press the Power/Lock Key or quickly double-tap the center of the screen with KnockON.

To unlock the display:• Press the Power/Lock Key to wake the display, and then swipe

your finger across the screen in any direction.

NOTE: The KnockON feature allows you to double-tap the screen to easily turn the screen on or off. You can disable this feature from the Home screen by taping Apps > Settings > Display > KnockON > tap the KnockON checkbox .

Setting Up Other Email Accounts1. From the Home screen, tap Apps > Settings > Add account.2. Tap Email and select the desired provider.3. Enter your email address and password and any other necessary information.

Wi-Fi Enhanced ConnectivityOffers a seamless transition between connections when you switch from the Verizon network to a Wi-Fi network. When you launch an internet-capable app, like the browser, your tablet scans for available Wi-Fi networks and prompts you to connect to an available Wi-Fi network. If you have a usage-based plan, you can save on your subscribed monthly data allowance by using a Wi-Fi connection rather than the Verizon network.

Bluetooth®1. From the Home screen, tap Apps > Settings > Bluetooth.2. Tap to turn Bluetooth on. You will see the option to make your tablet visible.3. Your tablet will scan for and display nearby Bluetooth devices. If the device you want

to pair with isn’t on the list, make sure the target device is set to be discoverable, then tap Search for devices to scan again.

NOTE : Depending on the type of device you are pairing with, you will be asked to enter a passkey, confirm matching passkeys, or the device will automatically pair.

Web Browsing Take the Internet with you on the go. You can reach the latest news, get the weather and follow your stocks. From the Home Screen, tap Chrome .

TalkBackThe TalkBack feature provides screen reading to assist people with impaired vision.1. From the Home screen, tap Apps > Settings >Accessibility.2. Tap TalkBack, then tap to turn it on.3. Tap Settings at the bottom of the screen to adjust the TalkBack settings.

NOTE: When TalkBack is on, double tap when you hear the item you want. (You can change to a single tap in Settings.)

Slide AsideSlide Aside allows you to quickly switch between three open apps (or tasks) for convenient multi-tasking.1. While an application is open, place three fingers on the screen and slide to the left. The

current screen is saved and the Home screen appears allowing you to open another app (you can save up to three apps).

2. To re-open the saved apps, place three fingers on the screen and slide to the right. Tap the desired app you want to open.

Tip: The Slide Aside feature does not recognize fewer fingers, additional fingers, or your palm.

Tip: You must be in an application, not on the Home screen, to use Slide Aside.

Using QPairWith QPair stay connected when using your tablet, even when your smartphone is in another room. Get instant notifications when your smartphone receives an incoming call, messages, and social networking notifications.1. From the Home screen, tap Apps > QPair > Get started > OK > Start on your

tablet first then run the same steps on your smartphone.2. Bluetooth connection will be turned on automatically.

Tip: QPair may not be pre-installed on your smartphone. To download, go to the Play Store app, then search for QPair for Verizon Wireless and install it.

NOTE: QPair works with smartphones running Android 4.1 or later. Some features may be limited depending on your smartphone model.

QSlideUse the QSlide feature to overlay applications on your tablet’s display for easy multitasking.1. Drag the Notification Panel at the top of your screen downward, then tap the desired app

from the QSlide apps section.2. Drag the title bar to move the app, or drag the bottom right corner to resize it.

• Tap to return to full window view.• Slide to adjust transparency.• Tap to exit the QSlide function.

NOTE: The QSlide feature can support up to two windows at the same time.

QuickMemoUse the QuickMemo feature to capture a screen shot and use it to write a memo.1. While viewing the screen you want to capture, drag the Notification Panel at the top of

your screen downward, then tap the QuickMemo feature.2. Select the desired menu option and create a memo.3. Touch in the tool bar to save the memo to the Notebook or Gallery app.

• Tap to keep the memo on top and continue using other tablet features.• Touch to select the type of background image you want to use.• Tap to undo the previous action.• Tap to redo the previously deleted action.• Tap to select pen type and pen color.• Tap to use the eraser to erase any part of the memo that you created.• Tap to share your memo with others via any of the available applications.

Location Based Services This device can determine its location, which is useful for services such as navigation, shopping and weather. To use Location Based Services, from the Home screen, tap Apps > Settings > Location access.

Your wireless device can determine its (and your) physical, geographical location (“Location Information”) and can associate Location Information with other data. Additionally, certain applications, services and programs are capable of accessing, collecting, storing and using Location Information and disclosing Location Information to others. You should use caution when determining whether or not Location Information should be made available to others and you should review any applicable third party policies before providing access.
