Whether you’re visiting your doctor, dentist, mental health provider, urgent care or
specialty clinic, RideCare has you covered. Family and friends are a great support
system, but they’re not always around. When you can’t drive yourself and you don’t

We’ll iron out the details
If a bus can take you to your appointment,
you’ll get a local bus pass or Metro Transit
bus card. If a bus isn’t able to take you, we’ll
schedule a cab or volunteer driver for you.
We can help with Special Transportation
Services too. Whether you need a wheelchair,
a stretcher accessible vehicle or have kids
traveling alone, RideCare can help.
When you’re getting picked up, it’s important
to be ready at your scheduled pick-up time.
Otherwise, your ride will leave without you.
Our drivers have full schedules, so a second
ride may not be available that day.
How do I get back home?
To get home after you’ve taken the bus, use
your return pass or bus card. To take a cab
home, simply call the cab company when
you’re ready to leave. You’ll be dropped off
where you were picked up. Remember, your
driver can only take you to your appointment
and back home. When you need to visit the
pharmacy, or make an extra stop after your
appointment, schedule that trip in advance.
This is Minnesota. What about bad weather?
When Mother Nature gets nasty, call RideCare
to make sure your ride is still available and on
time. If you’re still able to get a ride, it’s a good
idea to take an earlier bus, or schedule an
earlier pick-up.
Appointment canceled or rescheduled? No problem.
We understand you may have to reschedule or
cancel your appointment. Call RideCare three
hours before your scheduled ride, or as soon
as you know your appointment is canceled
or rescheduled. They’ll help plan a new ride
for you.
