Congratulations!

You’ve joined hundreds of thousands of independent USANA Associates

globally, all of whom have a vision of improving their lives and the lives of

others. Through hard work and consistent effort, you can achieve your

own optimal health and financial goals with USANA.

Your focus for the first 6 weeks should be to invite friends, family, and

acquaintances to learn more about USANA. You can rely on the Health &

Freedom Newspaper and your Upline Mentor to share USANA’s

message with your prospects. During these first 6 weeks, you can learn more

through additional training.

The next four pages of this workbook will help you gather some important contact

information and Get Started Today with your USANA business. The final

pages will explain the 6 Simple Steps that you can use over and over again to

build your USANA Business.

Your First 6 Weeks. Your First 6 Simple Steps.

Definition of USANA terms:Associate: An individual who signs an Associate Application with USANA which

gives permission to purchase products at wholesale prices, resell the products and

enrol others who will do the same.

Autoship: A convenient way to receive your products every four weeks at a

discounted price.

Business Development System (BDS): A selection of USANA training materials

and business support literature that each new Associate purchases, also referred to

as the ‘Starter Kit.’ The eBDS is an electronic version of the BDS.

Preferred Customer: An individual who signs a Preferred Customer Application

with USANA which gives permission to purchase products at wholesale prices. They

initially do not intend to build a business.

Sponsor: The Associate who introduced you to USANA and helped you enrol using

the Associate Application.

Upline Associates: Those team members who have enrolled before you and are

working in partnership with you to support you in building your business.

Upline Mentor: A person in your Upline who is familiar with USANA’s business

practices, the BDS and, is able to go through the Get Started Today workbook with a

new Associate, give a Health & Freedom presentation, and answer any initial questions

you and your prospects may have. This person is often the same as the Sponsor.

Getting Started

To get your USANA business started right, there are a few things you need to do:

Begin creating optimal health by taking USANA products. You cannot

genuinely recommend products to others if you are not taking them yourself.

In order to start earning commission you need to make an initial minimum product

purchase for your personal use or your customer’s. If you have not already done this,

ask your Sponsor or Upline Mentor for assistance.

Sign up for Autoship, a convenient way to receive your products every four weeks

at a discounted price.

Read the Health & Freedom Newspaper—USANA’s #1 prospecting

tool. This newspaper includes all the information you need for the first 6 weeks of

being a USANA Associate.

Read through the Associate and Preferred Customer Application

forms, so you are familiar with them. Each person interested in starting a USANA

business or becoming a Preferred Customer will need one of these applications.

Make sure to always have these applications with you.

Consult with your Upline Mentor and plan your calendar for the first 6 weeks.

This way, when your prospect is ready to meet your Upline Mentor, you already have

a pre-arranged appointment time. Make sure to put into your calender when Health

& Freedom Opportunity Meetings are scheduled in your area.

Commit to your goal. After your initial enrollment, your goal is to gain

membership in USANA’s elite and prestigious program, the PaceSetters. Becoming

a Platinum PaceSetter* or a PaceSetter* in the first 6 weeks will put you on

the path to becoming a successful USANA Associate. Decide today to become a

Platinum PaceSetter or a PaceSetter.

Some of the benefits are:

* When two or four of your personally sponsored new Associates activate 1 or 3 Business Centres and remain active (100 Personal Sales Volume (PSV) points every four-week rolling cycle) for eight consecutive weeks thereafter (starting the week of enrollment).

† The Matching Bonus is paid on Weekly Commissions only. You do not match other sources of earning, for example the Leadership Bonus or cash prizes from contests. If you do not qualify as a Platinum PaceSetter or PaceSetter (and remain an Asscoaiate) you are eligable for a 25% Matching Bonus.

The 6 Simple Steps consist of:

STEP LISTCreate a list of more than 100 people. From that list write down your top 12

names (e.g. family, friends and acquaintances) who can benefit the most from the

USANA products or business.

STEP INvITEBefore you contact any of the prospects you’ve listed above, think about the

needs of each person and how you can address those needs during your invitation

and subsequent conversations. This will help you tailor the information to each

prospect’s needs. (see page 10)

While you can contact prospects during a casual social encounter, it’s a good

business practice to call each individual and arrange to meet.

STEP MEETIntroduce your prospect to your Upline Mentor. During this meeting, your prospect

will have an opportunity to learn more about the business. Remember, this is also

your chance to learn more from your Upline Mentor’s experience. Your prospect

and you will leave this meeting with an even stronger belief in the USANA Health

and Freedom opportunity.

STEP SHAREAfter a prospect has seen a Health & Freedom Presentation, give them a Health &

Freedom Newspaper so they can learn more about the opportunity. This is one of the

most effective ways to communicate USANA’s message. You might want to highlight

the sections you think would be of most interest to them. Make sure to write your

contact information on the Health & Freedom Newspaper.

STEP FOLLOW UpFollow up with both your prospect and with your Upline Mentor. Your prospect may

want more information on either the product or the opportunity. Since you’ve already

pre-arranged several appointments with your Upline Mentor, this is an excellent time

to schedule a meeting or conference call including yourself, your Upline Mentor and

your prospect.

STEP ENROL1. Your prospect may want to enhance their health by immediately ordering

products—be sure to have Preferred Customer forms on hand. Fill them out

completely and let your prospect know when to expect their products.

2.Your prospect may want to start their business immediately! In this case, be

prepared by having Associate Application forms on hand. Help them fill this out,

and make sure to order the Business Development System (BDS) at this time.

Congratulate them for joining USANA. Now, have your Upline Mentor go over the

Get Started Today Workbook with your new Associate. This is the entire process

for your first 6 weeks in the business! Keep repeating these 6 Simple Steps.

1. LIST: Begin the 6 Simple Steps by creating a prospect list.

2. INvITE: Contact prospects and introduce the products and opportunity. Utilise the Talking Points you listed earlier.

3. MEET: Have a meeting with your prospects and your Upline Mentor.

4. SHARE: Give your prospects a Health & Freedom Newspaper.

5. FOLLOW Up: Follow up with your prospects, offering to introduce them to your Upline Mentor.

6. ENROL: Write up the Preferred Customer Application or the Associate Application.
