Tip #1 Take Care of Your Voice and It Will Take Care of You

You need to keep your voice moist. I mean your vocal chords located inside of your throat in this case. You can do this by drinking water on a regular basis throughout the day and eating fruits and vegetables.


Tip # 2 Avoid Strain• Never practice singing when you have a cold. This will

strain your vocal chords. This the equivalent of a football player hurting his leg and still trying to play on it. It just isn’t smart for long term success.


Tip #3 Start off with Deep Breathing Exercises

• This will get you ready to sing. You can simply breathe in counting to 3 and then breathe out counting to 3 again. Do this 4 to 5 times before you start singing. This will get you in the zone for singing at your best.


Tip #4 Start off with Warm-ups!Just like a professional sports star doesn’t just hop right into playing. You shouldn’t just hop right in to singing. It is best to warm up your voice and get it stretched out a bit.One simple warm up is to sing “mi me ma mo mu” several times while slightly raising the pitch. You can do the same thing slightly lowering the pitch as well.


Just in Case You Didn’t Know….Pitch?• This is not referring to volume. So this doesn’t mean

singing loud. This actually refers to the level of highness or lowness of a tone.
