PRODUCTIVITY HACKS

Are you a well-organised plan lover?Living a structured life?

Working best with schedules, timetablesand deadlines?

If you are, we truly envy you...

But if you are anything like us, you have thosemoments of not having all of it under control.

You love spontaneity and last-minutedecisions.

You hate being restricted withtoo much structure.

You value having your optionsopen to experience.

It’s so exciting. Isn’t it?

Well, not always.

When you lose control at work, thelack of structure can get prettymessy. And not exciting at all.

At some point it’s not spontaneity anymore.

You are responding, reacting to whatever ishappening, instead of owning your time and

being proactive.

If you obey all the rules, you miss all the fun

(Katharine Hepburn).

Don’t care what everybody else is thinking ordoing. Check out few tricks, adapt them yourway and find out what’s working for you.

Treat your productivity like a fun experiment.

To make your busy life easier, we picked up afew rebel-style productivity hacks.

Go ahead & check them out

1. Start experimenting

In the next few days record what you do.

Set an alarm in your phone to beep every 2hours. When it does note down what is it that

you were doing for the last two hours.

This fun task will give you a pretty cooloverlook on how your day really goes by.

Now you can see what activity takes your timeand if you really spend that much time on

social media.

Cool, huh?

2. Rebel-style planningJust sit down and start daydreaming. Imagine whatyou would do if there were no limits. Be a true rebel.

Don’t withhold your imagination. Don’t worry aboutwhat others might think of it. Think big. About the

most ambitious vision. Hell Yeah!

Write it down. If you can’t describe it - just draw it,create a mind-map, a collage or create a Pinterestboard. Whatever works for you, but get it all down. A

written goal brings clarity and focus.

3. Be busy doing the rightstuff

Choose top 5 goals you want to accomplish this year.Limiting your goals to 5 can be a pain in the butt togo through. But it will force you to think about yourpriorities. In business, knowing exactly what is thereally important stuff to do can help you work smart, not hard. Oh, and no cheating - don’t commit to

doing anything else before you achieve those 5 goals.

4. Routines can be funStart with the morning routine. Do something that is pure pleasure &

takes less than a few minutes. For example, get yourself a smallsmoothie. When you’re done drinking, it’s your trigger to immediatelystart working. Instead of a drink, you can chose a song, an article or ashort video. Whatever works for you - just don’t use it as an excuse to

procrastinate.

Once you’re done working, again do something nice for yourself. Why?

The habit loop is made of 3 elements: (1) Trigger (sets off the behavior),(2) Habit (the behavior) and (3) Reward (the benefits). So you need tofinish with a reward. Even if you screw up a bit and didn’t do it all, you

still deserve the reward. Nice, huh?

5. Work hard, play hardSplit your work into two sessions: work and break. Limited time will

maximise your productivity. How cool is that?

Average human body works best for 90 min + 30 min break. But you canset different intervals - it’s up to you. 90 min can be broken down to 3 x30 min (Pomodoro Technique): 25 min work + 5 min break. Remember:

don’t skip the break, your body needs it!

Is that all? No, it’s not.Did you enjoy these techniques? Do you still feel like you could use more
