Get creative – we need your ideas! School nurses and their teams support school-aged children and young people in school and local communities. Part of their job is to support young carers’ health and wellbeing. We at the School and Public Heath Nurses Association (SAPHNA) are working with the Department of Health to ensure you get support and help at times when you need it most, so we will be training school nurses to be champions for young carers so they can raise awareness of your needs and make sure other staff understand what support you might need. Please send a drawing or email a scan of your drawing / design to the address overleaf by 8 th May You will be entered into a competition and may win a fab prize SAPHNA School and Public Health Nurses Association So we can make sure you can identify who these champions for young carers are, we need your help to design a logo for a badge to make these school nurse champions stand out!

Notes• Entries must be submitted by 12:00 midday on 8th May• Entries can be submitted by post or scanned and sent via email• No bigger than A4 – PLEASE USE ATTACHED TEMPLATE• Entries must contain your age and contact details• Awards will fall into the following 3 categories (7 prizes in total)

– 5 -10• Runner up• Commended • Highly commended

– 11 - 19• Runner up• Commended • Highly commended

– Overall winner (from 5-10 or 11-19 groups)

• Winners and a guest will be invited to attend a presentation in London in June
