Severaltools(MakeTarget,MakeFace,WarpTargetandothers)aredesignedtoworkwiththeofficialBlender2.66releasefromwww.blender.org.Thesetools,implementedasBlenderaddons,arebundledwithMakeHuman,inthe"makehuman/tools"folder.

Whenyouopenthisfolder,youwillseethreedirectories:

1. blender24x2. blender26x3. standalone

ThefirstfoldercontainsthepythonscriptsforBlender2.4x.Whilethissoftwareworks,itisnolongerbeingupdated,becauseBlender2.4xisobsolete.Youshouldconsiderthisfoldertobe"deprecated".ThesecondfoldercontainsthepythonaddonsforthemostrecentreleaseofBlender,whichisBlender2.6x.ThisisthemainaddonfolderforusewithBlender.ThethirdfoldercontainsaMakeTargetconverterforthosepeoplethatdonotwishtouseBlender.

ToenabletheMHaddons,inBlenderopentheUserPreferenceswindowfromtheFile>UserPreferencesmenu,andgototheAddonstab.TheMakeTargetaddonisfoundintheMakeHumancategory.EnableMakeTargetbycheckingtheboxintheupperrightcorner,nexttotherunningmansymbol.MH_utilsisautilitypackageforMakeHumanscripts.Don'tenabletheMH_utilsaddonitisvisibleonlytokillsomeannoyingerrormessagesintheconsole.IfyouwantMakeTargettostarteverytimeBlenderisrestarted,pressthe"SaveUserSettings"button.

ExperimentaltoolsMakeFace,WarpTarget,andcertainothertoolsprovidedfromtimetotimewithinthesvnrepositoryareexperimentaltools.ThesetoolsarenotsupportedbytheMakeHumanteamandaretypicallyintendedastestsforproofofconceptthataretobeusedonlybydevelopers.Unlikethenormalutilities,theseexperimentaladdonsrequireNumpy(NUMericsforPYthon)todohighperformancenumericalcalculations.NumpyisnotpartoftheBlenderdistribution.Itneedstobedownloadedandinstalledseparately.NotethatMHalsorequiresnumpy,buttheversionusedbyMHisdifferentfromtheoneusedbyBlender:MakeHumanusespython2.6.x,Blenderusespython3.2.x.

ToinstallnumpyforBlender,followtheinstructionsbelow.

Downloadandinstallpython3.2fromhttp://www.python.org/download/,ChooseasuitablePython3.xpackage(3.2.3atthetimeofthiswriting),whichiscompatiblewithBlender.Downloadandinstallnumpyforpython3.2fromhttp://sourceforge.net/projects/numpy/files/NumPy/.Makesuretogetnumpyforpython3.2orlater..TheremightbesomeinstallationproblemsonWindows.Ifyouencounterproblems,makesuretoinstallnumpyforthecurrentuseronly,andnotforallusers.CopythefolderwithnumpyfilestoBlender'smoduledirectory($(BLENDER)/2.6x/scripts/modules).Itisalsopossibletoputthenumpyfilesintheaddonsdirectory,butthatwillcauseerrormessagestoappearintheconsolewindow.

TheAddonswillonlyworkinthe32bitversionofBlender,becausenumpycurrentlyonlyexistsina32bitversion.
