GeoTime ® 5.4 – What’s New ADVANCED CELL SITE ANALYSIS. CREATE USER DATA. ARCGIS 10.1 SUPPORT. ENHANCED CELL SITE ANALYSIS Creation Of Cell Towers and Sectors A new import wizard in GeoTime helps users to import carrier- provided cell tower location information. This process positions the center of the tower at the correct map location, and draws the associated sector information based on information provided by the carrier. Users can also set a unique identifier for each sector in order to match up activities from a subscriber Call Detail Record (CDR). Automatic Matching Of Calls To Cell Tower Sectors When importing Call Detail Records (CDR), GeoTime automatically matches each event (call, SMS, GPRS, etc.) to the associated cell tower sector, based on the sector identification provided by the provider. This can be performed with any number of CDR records and provides a method of validating the data set for duplicate or non-existent sector IDs. Cell Sector Hot Spot Analysis Cell tower sectors can be used to create a heatmap of activities, based on the number of activities performed in each sector. The GeoCharts tool allows users to create a color coded heatmap using cell tower sectors, based on CDR records. Call Detail Records (CDR) Import Wizard The CDR import wizard is designed to simplify the process of working with activity records for a specific mobile device. The wizard allows the user to quickly identify the meaning of the data columns and automatically creates the links between the call originator and call receiver. ENHANCED CELL SITE ANALYSISCreation Of Cell Towers and Sectors A new import wizard in GeoTime helps users to import carrier-provided cell tower location information.

Support for ArcGIS 10.1GeoTime 5.4 offi cially supports ESRI’s ArcGIS 10.1 release, with an updated extension for the Desktop version of ArcGIS. The GeoTime extension for ArcGIS creates a live link that con-nects GeoTime to the map imagery in ArcGIS. Users can also send features across to GeoTime and sync their selections between the two applications for a bidirectional workfl ow.

Call Direction Support in the CDR Import Wizard The CDR Import Wizard now supports call direction, allowing the user to select a column within a set of CDR records to specify the direction of a call. GeoTime will automatically create visual links between caller and called entities with this direction information.

Event Colors Saved In SnapshotsThe color assigned to events is now included in report snap-shots. When the user captures a snapshot within a report, the colors of events are saved along with it. They can then be recalled by clicking on the snapshot link. Colors of entities, annotations, and map features are also saved in snapshots.

Auto Detection Of Shapefi le Coordinate System When importing Map Features from shape fi les, GeoTime now attempts to automatically detect the coordinate system used.

Entity Trail Shadows Displayed On MapThe trails that connect events together for each entity may now be projected onto the map. This projection shows the direct path between two events that are associated to an entity.

Support For WMS 1.3GeoTime support for WMS services has been updated to the most recent specifi cation, version 1.3.

Support For Apple OSX 10.8 (64Bit only)The OSX release of GeoTime now supports Apple OSX 10.8 (Mountain Lion). This release is only available as a 64-bit application.
