How We Make A Difference
MINNEAPOLIS PUBLIC SCHOOLS (MINNEAPOLIS, MN)
In just two years…
• 30% = The number of high school students in Minneapolis Public Schools with a post-secondary and career plan
• 6% = The number of students who have indicated they are going to a 4 year college
“Naviance allowed our district to implement a
comprehensive school counseling program by
supporting an efficient way of tracking student
needs, interventions and outcomes.
….In addition to the improvement in the number of
college bound students, we have also recognized
an increase in the number of students
graduating from high school with better grades
and a decrease in the number of dropouts. “

Why Naviance and Total Reader?
• Naviance is about optimizing student potential. We have partnered with Total Reader because:– Reading is an essential part of college and career
readiness.– It helps students take ownership of their learning.– Allows for early intervention and planning to reach
desired goals and outcomes.
State Superintendent Barge stated “Lexile Score is the best assessment for projecting college and career readiness level”. Georgia has identified “1050” lexile by 10th grade as the CCR target which is leading the nation.
