HAS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF USING TECHNOLOGY AND TECHNOLOGICAL PROCESSES TO SUPPORT THE GOALS OF THE DISTRICT IMPROVEMENT PLAN. THE CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER, ALSO CALLED THE CTO, HAS THE FINAL AUTHORITY FOR ALL MATTERS
RELATED TO COMPUTERS, WEB PRESENCE, AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY WITHIN THE DISTRICT.
DIRECTOR OF EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY (STEVE KOESHER)
SERVES UNDER THE DIRECTION OF THE DIANA COX. RESPONSIBLE FOR PROVIDING LEADERSHIP TO THE EDUCATIONAL PROCESS BY ASSISTING IN THE MANAGEMENT OF DISTRICT TECHNOLOGY USE AND RELATED SERVICES: PLANNING, EVALUATING, DEVELOPING,
IMPLEMENTING, MONITORING AND MAINTAINING DISTRICT INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY AND NEW CURRICULAR TECHNOLOGY INITIATIVES AS ASSIGNED; RECOMMENDING DISTRICT AND DEPARTMENT TECHNOLOGY DECISIONS AND OVERALL DIRECTION;
OVERSEEING ASSIGNED DEPARTMENT STAFF; PROVIDING INFORMATION AND SERVING AS A RESOURCE TO OTHERS.

COMPUTER SUPPORT SERVICES ELEMENTARY
COMPUTER SUPPORT SPECIALISTS SUPPORT USERS BY PROVIDING TECHNICAL SUPPORT AND TROUBLESHOOTING FOR ALL ASPECTS OF COMPUTER HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE IN THE ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS. HIGHLY TRAINED TO SOLVE MANY DIFFERENT KINDS OF COMPUTER ISSUES -- ANYTHING FROM SMALL GLITCHES TO MAJOR
SYSTEM CRASHES.

Carver’s Campus Goal
GWC’s Campus Goal:
Utilize campus specialists/district personnel to work with teachers and students which will result in an
increase in state mandated assessments to at least 90%.
Campus Objectives
• Campus Objective 1 – Campus will work to ensure that the district technology curriculum is aligned with the state mandated TEKS by creating a team which addresses such concerns (ILT)
• Campus Objective 2 – Staff Development training housed on the campus will ensure the proficient utilization of the various technological resources available to students and staff.
• Campus Objective 3 – Due to the budget constraints, there will be an attempt to ensure necessary personnel from the district is readily available. This will not be known until the new budget and staff arrangements have been made.
• Campus Objective 4 – Staff members will received coached training on how to use the programs available within the classroom.

Technology proficiency in the 21st cooperative learning environment is a non-negotiable according to the various articles read throughout this course. According to the Texas LRP for Technology, each district should do the following to ensure an effective technology plan is implemented:
• Establish and articulate a vision for incorporation of technology into learning, teaching, and administrative processes•Assemble a team representing all stakeholders•Review technology requirements from all levels•Assess the current technology health of the campus•Develop goals, objectives, and strategies to address needs•Incorporate goals into budgeting process•Monitor and evaluate technology implementation•Assess the use for all students, educators and administrators
The Action Plan that I have created does address all of these elements.
