CIRCLE The locus of all points that are a fixed
distance from a given point.
HEXAGON A polygon with six sides.
ISOSCELES TRIANGLE A triangle with two sides that are the
same length.
KITE A quadrilateral with two pairs of
adjacent sides that are congruent.
LINE The geometric figure formed by two
points.
OCTAGON A polygon with eight sides.
PENTAGON A polygon with five sides
PERPENDICULAR At a 90 degree angle
PARALLEL PLANES Two distinct planes that do not intersect.
PYRAMID A polyhedron with a polygonal base and
lateral faces that taper to an apex.
RAY A part of a line starting at a particular
point and extending infinitely in one direction.
RECTANGLE A box shape on a plane.
ACUTE ANGLE An angle that has measure less than
90°.
REFLECTION A transformation in which a geometric
figure is reflected across a line, creating a mirror image.
SQUARE A rectangle with all four sides of equal
length.
RHOMBUS A parallelogram with four congruent
sides.
HEPTAGON A polygon with seven sides.
TRIANGLE A polygon with three sides.
RIGHT TRIANGLE A triangle that has a right 90 degree
