• The Sororan Desert covers most of Baja

Pacific Lowlands• Farther south, the

lowlands have a tropical climate with more precipitation

• The Gulf of Mexico stretches south from Texas to the Isthmus of Tehaun tepec

• The North side of peninsula is covered with dry sand and brush

Southern Highlands

• The Southern Highlands are south of central Plateau and Areas along the coast receive ample rain

• Relativity few people earn a living farming in Mexico and only about 13% of Mexico's land is curable
