Dubstep

0Electronic dance music0 I like some elements of Dubstep such as the

beats created by different artists. I also like the way the music mainly starts off slower and then more elements to the song as it progresses

0However, I don’t like some Dubstep tracks because many of them sound the same and it can become very repetitive making it slightly boring.

Country Music

0Generally harmonic songs accompanied mainly by string instruments (guitar)

0 I like that most of this type of music is quite peaceful and easy to listen to, but some tracks can be upbeat and catchy

0 I dislike that some songs can take a long time to get into the track which can make a listener impatient such as myself

Rock

0Loud form of music with strong beats0 I like the strong beats of the drums in the

songs as it keeps a stable rhythm throughout the song which makes it more familiar

0 I dislike that in some songs the beat is too loud so that the singing is difficult to understand

Opera

0Dramatic, theatrical combing text and music0 I like that many of the pieces of opera are

peaceful and thoughtful. Also I like the overwhelming ending to powerful opera songs

0 I dislike that some opera songs are quite boring and don’t really appeal to my age group (16-21)

Chosen genre: Pop

0 I have chosen to make my magazine to fit in with the pop genre

0This is because I feel I know this genre the best out of the possible choices.

0Also I will have access to large audience who enjoy this type of music meaning I can get realistic and useful feedback to make my own magazine.
