Gorilla Doctor Jan Ramer, MGVP's Regional Manager, holds the hand of Mukunda, a silverback mountain gorilla who was relocated from a village in DRC back to his home Virunga National Park. The Mountain Gorilla Veterinary Project (MGVP)
is an American nonprofit working in the three countries where mountain gorillas live: Rwanda, Uganda, and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). MGVP’s international team of veterinarians, known as the Gorilla Doctors, is the

I accompanied this village vet on his rounds and entered a house where I came across this engaging shot of a village vet measuring
temperature of a goat affected by PPR disease. This was his third visit and the goat had already passed the threat, thanks to his
medication. The photo to me is a classic portrayal of what a vet means to us.

This picture shows a Horse on an operating table minutes before surgery. The doctor is going to remove a tumor from the
stomach of the horse which is as big as a medicine-ball. The horse clinic is part of the University of Veterinary Medicine
