dear reader and genki guestA very heartfelt welcome to Genki 2015, the 7th Genki since its inception in 2009! We've undergone a lot of huge changes this past year, both internally and externally, and while it's been a bumpy ride, we thank you sticking with with us every step of the way - you’re all majorly awesome!

One of the biggest changes has been the change in management, which is why this is the first editorial since 2009 to not be written by Allan Petersen, who we all know and love. Allan officially stepped down as head organizer on February 4th in a heartfelt news post on our official website, genki.dk, where he reminisced Genki’s history and fanbase, and handed over the reigns to yours truly.

But fear not, because while Allan left some pretty big shoes to fill, I’m certain I’m the man to to do it, and with new management also comes a renewed vigor! We at Genki will therefore, more than ever, strive to innovate Genki's content and provide our guests with new and refreshing experiences, both heartwarming and exciting!

So while we may stumble a bit in the beginning, as we all try to adjust to all the changes, know that Genki will be running strong again in no time! And with the incredible effort of the many amazing team and group leaders, who helped plan and prepare this year’s Genki, not to forget the many lovely volunteers, who will be helping out during the convention itself, I hope you - the reader - will have an absolutely lovely experience here at Genki 2015.

Have a great con!

Victor M. Alring

top 4 things to remember• Drink plenty of liquid.• Don’t forget to get some (real) food.• Behave towards others as you want others behave towards you.• You are not as immortal as your cosplay character.

in case of an emergencyIn case of a fire or other emergencies, please remain calm and embark towards the nearest exit. Follow the instructions given by our staff. Assemble in the grassy field behind Farum Arena.

Cosplay and ConductAs always, we look forward to seeing a lot wonderful and awesome cosplays.

And we want people to feel safe and confident, no matter how bizarre or skimpy their outfits might be. And that starts with some clear rules about conduct.

We trust our visitors to behave with decency and respect towards the other visitors. The cosplayers are not plastic figurines, and ANYTHING relating to them and their costumes are boundries they set themselves. That means both physicly and emotionally.

For some, wearing these customes in crowds is a rather big leap, and we want to reward them with compliments, not scare them away with disrespectful behaviour.

If you feel someone is acting unacceptable, no matter if it’s directly towards you, or something you just witness, please contact security or the info desk. And if people are unable to follow these rules of conduct, Genki always have to option to ban them from the convention.

Ofcourse, if you have some rough play with your friends, make sure thatpeople around you know that everything is cool.

sleep HallsThere are only accessible to people with proper wristbands. The Red wrist provides access to Marie Kruses school. Blue wrist provides access to Stenvadshallen.

There will be marked areas where you can sleep, so we can have cleared walkways throughout the hall as escape routes in case of fire, and to make it easier for users to get around. Respect these markings.

Leaving items in the sleeping hall is at your own risk, so make sure to take valuables with you when you leave. All things must be out no later than Sunday. 11.30!

The light will be off during certain periods during the Con. When it is off, there will be quiet in the hall, so people can sleep. Not abiding the sleephall rules puts you in risk of having your wristband cut off, which means you will have to leave the convention.
