Wireless Genesis System using direct interface to compatible DVRs.

This example shows how the wireless PIR detectors transmit to the LGMT434 Masthead Trans-ceiver, which in turn passes the alarm information directly to a compatible DVR that has an RS232 input via a four wire cable. The Masthead in this mode monitors all the PIRs and reports missed call-ins, low battery conditions etc. Compatible DVR’s are BI3, Geovision and Videoswitch. Most DVR’s that have an RS232 input and Key Word feature can be programmed to work in this way. The LGMT434 Masthead transceiver is normally placed on the outside of the building where it can get the best reception from the PIR transmitters.

Wireless Genesis System using LGRU16 interface to DVRs and Alarm Panels

This example shows how the wireless PIR detectors transmit to the LGMT434 Masthead Receiver, which in turn passes the alarm information via a wired link to the Alarm Relay Control Unit LGRU16 which monitors all the PIRs and reports missed call-ins, low battery conditions etc. The LGMT434 Masthead Receiver is normally placed on the outside of the building where it can get the best recep-tion from the PIR transmitters As standard the LGRU16 Alarm Relay Control Unit is supplied with 8 alarm and 8 tamper outputs. It can be expanded up to 16 alarm and 16 tamper outputs by adding an extra module called an LGRM8. These alarms are provided by relay contacts and will interface with virtually any alarm sys-tem. LGRU16 control units can be connected together to provide up to 64 outputs. Each alarm output comprises of five coloured ribbon wires. These are made up of common, normally open and normally closed contacts for the alarm and a pair of normally closed contacts for the tam-per.

Features: Up to 64 detectors per system Full supervision from call-ins Battery voltage monitoring Easy relay interface to popular makes of DVR and alarm panels One tamper relay for each alarm relay LED display for alarm events

Genesis System using LGRU16 ELR Series (End of line resistor) interface to Dvr’s and Alarms.

This system is very similar to the LGRU16 but instead of having a ribbon cable comprising of five wires per output, this unit has screw terminals and comprises of just two terminals per output. This is because the alarm and tamper are configured in the industry standard ELR end of line resistor way. Because different alarm systems require different resistor values, we offer three variants as shown. LGRU16ELR Galaxy Alarm 1K Tamper 1K LGRU16ELR Adpro Alarm 2K2 Tamper 1K1 LGRU16ELR Texcom / Castle / ADE / Scantronic Alarm 4K7 Tamper 2K2 The LGRU16ELR control Interface is supplied with 8 alarm and 8 tamper outputs and can be ex-panded up to 16 alarm and 16 tamper outputs by adding an extra module called LGRM8ELR. Features: Up to 64 detectors per system. Alarms and tampers. Full supervision from call ins. Battery voltage monitoring. Easy ELR interface to popular makes of DVR and alarm panels. One tamper relay for each alarm relay. LED display for alarm events.

Wireless Genesis System using LDM16 interface to

Dedicated Micros DS2 DVR The LGDM16 Alarm Relay Control Unit provides a direct interface to a Dedicated Micros DS2 DVR using the DM RS485 protocol. The LGMT434 Masthead Receiver receives the data from the PIR detectors and passes it to the LGDM16. The message is then converted into the DM protocol to provide 16 alarm and 16 tamper outputs. Up to four LGDM16 interface units can be connected to a single masthead receiver to provide up to 64 alarm and tamper commands that can be interfaced to a DS2. There are four unit groups from 1-16, 17-32, 33-48 and 49-64 which means that up to four LGDM16s can be connected together to provide all 64 alarms and 64 tampers if required. The front panel display shows information on alarms, faults and tampers which are held in the log. A LEARN feature allows the LGDM16 to learn up to 16 transmitters. The transmitters call in periodically and are monitored. If they fail to call in a tamper will occur. Features: Up to 64 detectors per system. Alarms and tampers. Full supervision from call-ins. Battery voltage monitoring. Direct interface to Dedicated Micros Sprite DS2. LED display for alarm events.

Wireless Genesis System using LGMRU4x4 Masthead Receiver with Relays

The Masthead Receiver/ relay unit provides a simple interface for virtually any kind of alarm input because it has volt free relay contacts. It is weather proof to IP66 and so it can be fitted externally with a dome camera and connected directly into the alarm pre-sets. It can be set as either 4 alarm outputs and 4 corresponding tamper outputs or 8 alarm outputs with-out tampers. DIL switches set the different modes as well as the unit code groups. There is no limit to the number of LGMRU4x4 units that can be used on any one system.

Features: Up to 8 PIR detectors per receiver Either 4 alarms and 4 tampers or 8 alarms without tamper Volt free contacts can interface to any alarm input Contacts can be set to normally open or closed LED indicators

LGKP Portable Key Point

Genesis System using LGK Series Wireless Key Point

The LGK Series of Wireless Remote Key Points allows the whole Genesis system to be set and unset, a BS8418 requirement for remotely monitored systems. The setting and un-setting is best provided at the position of ingress and egress to the site. There is normally a great deal of expensive civil works to achieve this which the Genesis system overcomes because it is wireless. The LGK Series is bi-directional providing the operator with a confirmation of system status. Security is by way of a 4 digit pin number. Three wrongly entered pin numbers will provide a momentary dedi-cated contact closure on the receiver. In addition each key point has a 5 digit site code. There are two types of key point: the static type LGKS and the portable type LGKP. Both types of Key Point can be used on the same system and there are no limits to the number of Key Points used on any one system. Both Key Points are powered by a 9 volt battery which on average lasts for two years. The receiver is the same receiver that is used for the Genesis Wireless PIR detectors and therefore this cost is already caried in the system.
